I'm not sure about the Android platform for this. You may want to reach out to the hearing aid manufacturer consumer line and they can walk you through it. As an iPhone user myself, I don't want to lead you down the wrong steps to attempt it.

Very good Video, Will This Streamer work with a two-year-old 58 inch Samsung smart tv. and Jabar Hearing aids
@allisonaudiologyАй бұрын
Good afternoon, from what we've been told, the accessories are brand specific. From that information, I would have to say they aren't compatible, despite being from the same parent company. However, I also have not had anyone try a Resound TV Streamer + Jabra hearing aids just to see. You may want to call the Resound consumer line for more information.

Right and left? Like the aid in right ear and aid in left? The button on hearing aid appears you can tap top or bottom, no right or left
@allisonaudiologyАй бұрын
Yes, tap the right hearing aid to turn it up, left to turn it down. If this isn't working, checking with your hearing provider to make sure that feature was enabled.

Personally, I would like to know if people with mild to moderate hearing loss have found benefit or not with these, rather than an advertisement critique.

Valid point. In the clinic, I've heard a mix of reviews. Pros of course in the cost and familiarity of the devices if they've had AirPods before. Ease of use is also nice in that. Some cons in battery life, sound quality, and comfort. But, I don't know if they uploaded an accurate audiogram or if it was done in the app because I have heard there has some variability in that. And, it also depends on what tips were used during the in-app audiogram for the fit and ongoing comfort. I know that doesn't address your comment entirely, but hopefully can provide some insight. If we have anyone in the office who is open to filming a video and providing their experience, I'm happy to post it.

How to adjust volume?

I had an acoustic neuroma removed in over 10 years ago and left me deaf in one ear . The past few years my Otolaryngologist advised me to try the Cros hearing device . The device was very expensive and insurance did not cover it. I tried it for one week and the noise was unbearable and I returned it. Recently I went to see the audiologist and told me that, if I don’t get the device , I am facing to loosing my hearing in a good ear and hearing loss leads to Dementia. That scared me and I got the 360 Cros hearing aids a few days ago. I can confess that I can hear very well in my deaf ear . I was so happy that I could hear from a distance . The noise is minimal and bearable . However it sounds like one is talking in a microphone. I was told that by time it goes away once your brain adapts to it. I am happy I got them.

I have loss of hearing in my left ear. Additional issue in my left ear is that sound that enters always sounds very distorted. With traditional hearing aids, all it did was amplify the distortion so I stopped wearing them. Would a CROS device cause similar issues or might it solve that problem? Any advice or recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thank you

@allisonaudiology, MANY THANKS for your intelligently-outlined, admirably-concise and crisply-delivered video overview of the "Resound Relief App"!!! It is a an important second stage to the tinnitus hearing aids which I began wearing 4 weeks ago. Moments ago, upon viewing your video, it was "EUREKA!" What an app it is! Owing to your KZbin presence, I have literally found what the doctor ordered that is independent of but in conjunction with my hearing aid "regimen."!!! As you know, creatively coping with this condition, this side of a cure, will likely remain my biggest challenge throughout the rest of my life. Know you have played an extraordinary role in that effort, for which I remain eternally grateful. [Only those who have this condition or treat such patients could ever truly understand this sentiment. To those struggling with the noise of tinnitus, view this video and get the app!!!] I wish you every success, Dr. Allison. CHEERS! 🤗🤗🤗

From what we can see, the BeMore app is for GN hearing aids outside of the US. The Smart 3D app is what you'll want for the latest Resound products, such as Nexia, Omnia, etc.

Do you know if there is a way i can either disable the auto-off feature when the source volume is low? or if there is a way i can adjust the lowest volume that triggers the auto-off feature? The lowest volume is too loud for me so I'm having to give a loud boost of sound every few minutes to prevent the auto-off feature.... Ideally I'd prefer the auto-off feature to be disabled as I use the adapter most of the day...

We haven't received that request, but the Resound Consumer Support Group maybe able to walk you through this. (888) 735-4327

@@allisonaudiology Thanks, I'm not local to that number as I'm based in South Africa, I decided that using the app to adjust the streaming volume without adjusting the surrounding volume works for me, this way i can still hear my surrounds while streaming audio that's not too loud and at the same time the PC can be loud enough for the streamer not to enter standby/auto-off. BTW, I use a OTICON Xceed 3 UP

I have paired my smartphone to the TV and I do have a programme on my app for TV but once I am connected to the TV and after a minute or two the programme automatically goes to the All-Around mode , Have I missed a step in pairing?
@allisonaudiology7 ай бұрын
The smartphone should be paired to the hearing aids, and then the hearing aids should recognize the tv streamer. Once you're ready to use the streamer, go to your app and select the tv. If the tv streamer isn't staying activated, something is wrong with the connection or audio input isn't going into the tv streamer correctly. For further assistance, you may also contact the Resound Consumer Group at (888) 735-4327.

I’ve only had my audeo 90s for a month and I absolutely hate them no matter what I do my calls are disconnected from my bluetooth and reconnects constantly even though the settings are set for bluetooth headset and not automatic it’s very frustrating to keep having my calls routed to speaker and why do you have to turn off all sounds which is crazy that’s the purpose of being able to hear smh at this point I rather not wear my hearing aids at all and Phonak company not any help at all because the problem still exists
@allisonaudiology7 ай бұрын
We hate to hear you're not enjoying your hearing devices. Are there any updates that need to be done to the aids or the phone? Sometimes this fixes these kinds of glitches that can occur. If not, returning to your hearing provider for assistance is recommended. This way they can troubleshoot what could be happening and/or send the devices to Phonak for assessment.

A very helpful and clearly presented video, thank you. It's better than anything I have found in the UK, which is where I live I have been struggling with my HAs for 18months., despite repeated visits to my audiologist. Now, I can't take a plane to visit you but the information you have given about how the brain needs to adjust to the difference in sounds and the restored nuances the HAs give is invaluable. Your voice is clear, your presentation is friendly and encouraging. Most of all, you provide sensible advice about how to help the brain assimilate al these changes. Thank you again.

This is very helpful but is several years old. I just got my first pair of Resound aids and I like them a lot. I'm wondering if some of the settings you've covered here do not apply to all models. I think mine are pretty baseline, and I don't see the Speech Focus and Wind noise reduction settings under Sound Enhancer. Speech focus would be so good to have in a noisy environment, like restaurant. Thanks a lot.
@allisonaudiology10 ай бұрын
Good afternoon! There are different features available in different technology levels, with Speech Focus being one of them. I would consult with your hearing care provider to see if it's available in your technology and simply needs to be enabled, or if you'd like to consider a different level in order to have it. Once it's there and enabled, you will see it in your app.

With button as in your video I can set levels from not hear at all to the low whispering. Not ebnough for me. There are some menus? For what and how to get there?
@allisonaudiology10 ай бұрын
Good afternoon! Based on what you're describing, it sounds like the programming isn't where it needs to be for your degree of hearing loss or something is keeping the aids from producing enough volume for you. The best step would be to return to your hearing care provider and have them take a look. It could be something as simple as a clogged filter all the way to the prescription being off, which can easily be determined with real ear measurements/speech mapping.
