Thanks for video, great help (The manual is hopeless lol). On mine I found that I actually had to press the OK button and UP buttons together then released OK button while holding UP button, I then got the HFA display as described. Also although my display looks identical it does not flash the aerial symbol with the remote (although the remote works perfectly).

You should change the title of this to "Cloning remotes for chinese diesel heaters" . This is the only video I can find that has this and I could only find it through the Search in the facebook group. Somewhat difficult to find.

Thank you for your input. In fact, someone who has just subscribed to my Van Hacks channel made a similar comment. The problem is the video does three things and it's not just about cloning but I can make reference to cloning in the the meta tags which hopefully might make searches easier for people who know how to pair but do not know how the Clone. Alternatively, I could just chop the video and put up a version just about cloning which might help people find it. Hi, I was hoping that I had found the right video on pairing my remote as you have the same controller as me. I did what you showed as with many other video's, but I don't get to the same screen no matter what I do. I took my Ipad and sat with the heater and coppied what you did but no joy. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Does your controller have a fan icon with 6 blades or three? Mine is the 6-blade. If yours is also 6, it might just be your remote is duff... my first one was... struggled and struggled and then bought another one and it paired the first time

@@campervan_hackers yes mine is 6 blades. I wondered if I changed some of the settings for fan speed and possibly anything else as I was trying to connect the remote control. I have 3.9 htz on my front screen but can’t turn it higher. It’s probably my fault. I was thinking that if there is a way to get the control panel to go back to the factory settings then I can start again fresh and not fiddle with it again lol. Thank you for your response.

@@gordonmitchell729 Dude... not sure how to help now but very unlikely you disabled the remote by changing the fan settings. For the price, of the remotes, it is with buying a second. As I said the first one I brought was defective and would not pair... but the second one I bought from eBay paired the first time.

@@campervan_hackers good advice. I will purchase another controller for sure. I watched a video where it was showing that if the controller stops working, the heater continues on the last settings it was receiving with no way to turn it off. It’s great to have you guys out there sharing tips especially for us newbie’s. Thank you for your help!

Mine is a 3 blade so it didn't work holding ok so I tried holding down the spanner button instead then held up, it worked 👍 Mine is a Vevor kit. Thanks for the video bud😊

Is it possible to register a complete new remote if the original is misplaced ? I have the hfa option to display and have a remote similar to the clone remote you use but pressing the buttons does not register the remote - can I get it added somehow or do I need to buy a new controller that comes with it’s own remote ?

No you do not need to buy a new control bored. In fact my heater did not come with a remote ... I just bought a 2.4 remote from eBay. However the first I had did not pair and I had to buy a second. You need one main remote that is not a copy remote. You cannot pair a clone remote direct to the control board.

Mysterious! To be clear.. When you look at the icon of the heater on your controller, does the fan have 3 blades or 6? If 3, it is a different controller despie it looking similar.

Try letting go of the OK but keep holding the UP button.... one viewer had a solution doing that.@@ejvik3238

@@campervan_hackers This is hilarious. Your solution didn't work but in our case just holding up for 3 seconds without even pressing ok button worked. Your solution gave us an idea to try it this way so thanks.
