Wow, it's so lovely to see how Sergei holds Katia all the time. They are so close to each other and other couples are so far. What a beautiful couple. I really hope they will reunite one day in other world.

G &G are incredible! Sergei holds Katia from the hip with ONE hand and Katia's hands are free?! How could they not win the gold?! And they make everything look smooth and easy. Gorgeous, beautiful, sublime, there are just not enough wonderful adjectives to describe what they did that night. They absolutely deserved the GOLD.

What a Memorable Event for these World Champions. They were Flawless in their performance. I Thoroughly enjoyed their fantastic program. They skated in a class all their own. Congratulations Forever G&G!!! 🥳🎈🎊 👏👏👏

I believe traditionally, the losers offer their hands FIRST to congratulate the Winners! Where are the bronze winners today???? Eh? G&G are loved and respected today! Check out their videos: there are millions of fans still watching them! They WON the GOLD through hard work and excellence. RIP Sergei . Your legacy lives on!

Rag Doll ??? well that little blonde that took bronze is just as comparable in size to her partner as Katia is to Sergei !!! Sergei and Katia bring something to the ice that other pairs don't, I watch because ice skating is (or was) a beautiful and gracefull and artistic sport, and that's why G&G are the very best!!!!!!

What a bad look for Brasseur and Eisler not to shake hands with the other medalists. I hope they weren’t trying to make a point by doing that. They barely beat Shishkova and Naumov for the bronze. You can gripe about the rules all you want but it’s not like the Russian teams didn’t earn those medals (although I would have given gold to Natalia and Artur. Their long program was one for the ages). They skated phenomenally well, better than they had in much of their original amateur careers. You can’t fault athletes who took advantage of an opportunity to return to the Olympics. This was the only discipline where the professionals returned and won.

Lovely South Star - G&G did clap you can see it right on the video. There was nothing "heavy" about them. Isabelle and Lloyd were poor sports at this competition. Looking at your posts you don't have an appreciation for pairs skating at its best. You are too concerned with things outside of the actual performance. They won it, they deserved it and the whole skating community except you seem to accept that they were the greatest pair ever to lace skates. But you are entitled to your wrong opinion.

As much as I love G&G, I really think that M&D should have won gold. Agreed that B&E were poor sports for not congratulating the other teams.

Mishkutenok/Dmitriev should have won. And the third russian pair shishkova/naumov should have gotten the bronze. The Canadians sucked and got the bronze only because the judges were loathe to allow a russian sweep.
@intldawn4 жыл бұрын
Talgat It was very close for the bronze, though. 5-4 split among the judges. I think the Canadians got the edge in part because they were the reigning world champions. I probably would have given the Russians the bronze, too, but in a popularity contest, no chance Shishkova and Naumov get the edge over the Canadians.
