Love them! We used to do it on Christmas Eve but changed it up a few years ago. We now do it when we decorate our tree which is usually right after Thanksgiving. Make the whole evening fun with cocoa, treats, Christmas music, and decorating.

I do a Christmas Eve box. So we just have one box that holds all the jammies. I also put in one ornament to represent something from that year. I used to do one for each kid but it was getting to be too much so we just do one and I figure when they all move out, they can pick their favorites. Then I add in some snacks and usually a book, movie or game or combo of those. It’s basically our Christmas Eve activities all in one box. My kids love it!

I love that you do the boxes further away from Christmas... Christmas Eve is so busy.... my kids are 30 and 19... I think it would be great to do this when I have grandkids... I just love decorating the tree... and my daughter and son in law live about 5 hours away... so they would probably love coming to visit us Thanksgiving weekend rather than squeezing us into Christmas... I think I will use this tradition with them... thanks for the wonderful idea... I bought my kids a new ornament every year and then I give them to them when they move into their first place... that way they have ornaments for their very first Christmas Tree in their new home! Since you have more kids than I do... I would suggest you keeping a journal for each child with a journal entry every year documenting which ornament you bought for them that year and your reason for choosing it... then give them the journals too!

Love this. Thanks for sharing. We do December 1st... they get matching pjs, a new ornament, 2 Xmas shirts (with the fun sayings) & 2 Xmas socks. I used to do books each year, but now we do every other year because we have so many. I needed to control the messy chaos a little bit 😜

This is one of my favorite parts of Christmas... We call it "The Night Before Christmas Box" and our box contains: pjs, a cup, dvd, book, something fun for bath time, a plush, a Christmas craft (something simple) and a small wintery toy that is wrapped. I try to keep with a theme. My kids LOVE Frosty the Snowman so that is the inspiration for our box this year. We also make cookies and then watch Christmas movies while eating cookies 😂 Amazon and Dollar Tree have been my shopping spots so far! Love that you are already doing these videos!!! I've already decorated for Christmas ❄⛄❤

We always do a new Christmas book and pajamas, sometime in the beginning of December and an ornament on Christmas Eve, one year I did little Christmas plush toys as well. This year, I am looking to do more, I like the idea of an activity or snack and solidify our tradition as far as when we give those things.

We do a night before Christmas box that is similar to yours with pjs and books and treats. I never thought about opening this box earlier in the season but seeing this video makes me think it might be better to open it earlier so we can enjoy all the things all throughout the holiday season. An elf drops our boxes off Christmas eve! I grew up getting to choose 1 or 2 ornaments at a special Christmas store every year. When we move out we were given a box with all the ornaments we chose over the years to start out first trees. My kids choose one every year. One of mine wants queen barb from trolls this year 😜 we ordered on easy last year all descendants 3 themed lol

We do it on Thanksgiving weekend as well. 3 years ago we started letting their grandma pick out their nightie for the year and a box of maple sugar candy from Cracker Barrel.

We actually do two. One the weekend of Thanksgiving and the elf on the shelf brings holiday pjs and a few other things to kick off the season. Then we do matching family pajama boxes for Christmas Eve with a movie night and a new ornaments

Also I love the thought that goes into each box. Christmas is always a stressful time where I feel like money is flying out the window but I want to do these easy things for my kids. My goal is to hopefully be monetized by this time next year and use that little bit to make boxes for my kids and do the little fun advent things that are cheap like this! I always give my daughter Christmas pjs Christmas Eve! Maybe I’ll give them to her when we decorate the tree so she can wear them all season? I’ll have to think about it! This year I got matching pjs for my husband and I to wear so we match with my daughter! I think she’ll love that!

I just ordered three sets of the marshmallow hot cocoa mugs. One set for my sister's kids, one set for my kids... and a set of backups for our house when one is inevitably dropped and broken. 😂😬🤷‍♀️ I'll have to look into the gluten free marshmallow treats as that is a new diagnosis in our house this year. Love the boxes! We do pjs that are geared towards each child the day after thanksgiving. The boxes include pjs, hot coca mix and a book. Then on Christmas Eve we do our family Christmas matching pjs so we’re all matching Christmas morning. I’m going to keep this up until they’re over it 😆
