Pajama squids are named so because they come in a fancy pajama stripe pattern, but they don't always look this way. These squids are able to change their appearance just like other cuttlefish species. Oh, right, technically pajama squids are squids. Pajama squids are part of the bottletail squid family. They all come in small sizes and look like little dumplings - they're something even referred to as dumpling squid!
Scientific Name: Family - Sepiadariidae
Range: tropical and subtropical waters of the western and central Pacific waters
Size: average 1.5 inches (40mm)
Diet: crustaceans like shrimp and small fish
Lifespan: likely short (typical of most cephalopods)
