@@PakistaniMulhidUrdu Harris bhai, though your commentary on these reaction videos are valuable for Pakistani citizens and to some extent Indians too, I think you are much bigger than this. Well, you see all discussions of public intellectuals of Pakistan are usually criticisms and "self flagellation". This includes even think tank such as PIDE (Pakistan Institute of Development Economics). I've not seen ONE practical idea coming out of that think tank. TBH, some of the discussions are so childish and immature .. it feels just waste of time and oxygen. I think you can fill in that niche. I'll give one example : Everyone talks about land reforms being one of the important steps to undertake. But apparently it was deemed unislamic (you could look it up "Pakistan land reforms unislamic" and you will find multiple sources). So how are you going to enact reforms that are unislamic in an islamic nation? Its almost like the nation has chained itself from its reforms. You need to bring such ideas out in open. This independence day was whole heartedly celebrated by Kashmiris. The general feeling in Kashmir today and I'm speaking as a Kashmiri is ke bahut waqat zaaya ho gya militancy main and now people have a better understanding ke the militancy here was serving Pakistani agenda and the Kashmiris were used as proxies by Pakistan to settle their scores with India. I hope moving forward more enlightened, moderate vand secular voices of our society get their due in public opinion formation. All the best to Pakistan and their awam for future. Harris is right ultra religiousity is one of the main problems in our societies. I'm no supporter of BJP and their politics in India. But their time in centre may ironically turn out to be the best and most peaceful period in Kashmir. An example earlier it uses to be that on and around 15 August there were curfews and protests and internet and mobile network shutdowns. But this time it was none of that and I think moving forward Kashmiris will recognise this also. Also the Human rights record in Kashmir is much better under BJP gov then it was ever under Congress. BJP just removed article 370 but people outside Kashmir doesn't recognise the fact that it was Congress which introduced AFSPA, PSA and made article 370 irrelevant even when it was not scrapped. Scrapping it was just symbolic as it has no real political and executive functions remaining.
