Actually, we are not Good Muslims. We are told to consider ourselves superiors and rest of the human beings Kafirs or Sub-humans. We are brought up on hate for Hindus. We don't give them respect which they deserve. By Islamic perspective are they not the children of Adam and Eve? Hence our brothers and sisters. If Allah had given them birth into Hindu families, so will we hate them for it? Their lives are the matter between God and them. Allah Almighty never ordered us to break the pledge. When Kashmir issue was under judgment by United Nations then we and India both were bound to never bring war or interfere in each others' territories. India kept their nerves. We broke the bond and went into a disputed area. Then we started weeping after Tashkent Declaration. If we want Allah's help then listen and obey His commandments.

blunder kya tha. China betrayed...even if we had gone to war willingly and prepared, it was less likely to win war at that time. Our weapon were outdated compared to China. That was because we were on non-aligned side. US was not on our side. Russia was helping as much he could but they will also not help us when it come to China. China-Russia relations are much deeper to just toss around it for some third party. but sometimes there are positive things hidden in tragedies. Remaining non-aligned that time has given India a strong foothold on global stage at present, we are kinda a pole of power in itself than being on side of other poles. You can never judge past actions properly in present as lots of situational factors affect decision at a particular point. when knows maybe many more of us, if were in that position, would have done same. He used to say that Sikhs & Hindus were same as Muslims, they were very much close to each other. My grandpa died in 2018 and his stories still hit my soul 😢. I think even after educating, there won't be major changes that might happen because: 1. Egos take prominent seat in decision making on both sides. 2. Religious hatred has been present with varying degrees. 3. Generations over generations people were taught that the other country is an enemy - it's very hard to change that. May be only few percent think that way but still it would be substantial. 4. Emotional decision making over rationality. Ex: Pakistan banning trade with India until India takes back its step on Article 370. Similar steps based on emotion will be taken on Indian side too. There could be numerous other points too. So basically, I don't see any positive changes happening especially considering the present state of both nations - India is kind of in a raising state with growing economy & international appeal due to which it is kind of overlooking Pakistan and openly saying not interested in any talks. On the other hand, Pakistan is engulfed with its unending internal power struggles, lacks stability & doesn't possess good relations with most of its neighbourhood & declining international space. So it's like interests of our both countries are diverging, thus I don't feel any positive relationship happening in near future.
