There is nothing wrong with tejas design. Its just india pakistan specific thing we mock each other nomatter how good it is. JF-17, LCA Tejas, Gripen are of light division, what you said is like comparing apples with oranges. F16 is main fighter jet of Pak airforce while Tejas is just an interceptor. Sukhoi and Rafale in india have same role as what F16 have for Pak, so it's better to not compare aircrafts of different class.

Just so everyone knows delta wings are the future of aerial combat platforms. In the past such systems were hard to fly because of stability issues. But with fly by wire systems such issues no longer exist. And for the pundits out there, an unstable platform is preferred over stable ones in modern warfare because of better maneuverability. Why does such petty brick batting come in when you’re comparing technology; in this case also piloting. Tejas is old technology and has never shown the speed, manoeuvrability or accuracy in fighter flying peculiar to our low level air war , as did the F86s which enabled MM Alam to make a world record of shooting 11 Indian fighters in one sortie or the F16 does which is why nobody’s buying Tejas and soon in comparison to lightweight low level killers like the JF17 and 20 it may acquire the name of a flying coffin- plz save my valuable Indian sons, being forced to fly a jet designed for Russian high level skirmishes against the Americans. Abhinandan is a good officer, but easily shot down by unassuming Pakistani pilots, due to incompetent Russian pattern fighter training. Then 1971 was not an India / Pak war, With 40 Indian Army divisions against ONE Pak division and that too distantly remotely situated , a war where the mukti Bahini were subverted and perverted by the Indian army to rebel and mutiny and fight for them not a war, not an insurgency but a treacherous third degree inside homicide. Even in the words of Parsi General Sam Manekshaw a heavily outnumbered Pakistani 1 division was no big deal to be defeated. History shows who the top fighters were and are in the subcontinent who defeated and dismembered Russia - the latest example being the Taliban. Conclusion- follow the British partition plan , free Kashmir and live peacefully with your neighbours. Indo- Pakistan would be a super power.

It's actually the longer wing that is more maneuverable. If you look closely Modern fighters already have a mini delta front from the nose to the starting point of the main extended wings. Also a full delta wing can significantly hinder stability in subsonic speeds

Tejas is built for Himalayan war at high latitude, remember how mirage blasted those Pakistani bunkers with laser guided bomb 💣 which also has delta wing.
