I cried the whole time watching this Video, I cried of shame. The beautiful people of Pakistan just teach me Humility, Simplicity and Happiness praising God...I am working in Dubai for a long time and I do not understand Pakistanis until this Video. Forgive me for being Judgmental and Generalizing Pakistanis, but everything has changed, now I only have my outmost Respect and Appreciation on how you live your life. There are many thoughtful moments in this documentary. If someone had noticed when he came back from Dubai his father was saying ....I sold our land to pay off debts I can sell more land to buy you a car too.... Another thoughtful moments when his mother was complaining that he promised us to take us to Hajj but he did not but we cant talk rough to our son as he is the only son.... I mean look at the attitude of his parents. Though illiterate but their behavior to their son is so supportive like educated city parents.... really amazing!!!

This documentary made me cry. It is a plight not only of Pakistanis, but other nationalities working abroad. I am a Filipino, now working in UAE. I am fortunate that I felt welcome and adjusted quickly to the culture here and actually felt like a second home. I am fortunate that I came here by my own choice, to seek a better future for myself. I too, am an only son, but my parents are living comfortably, for they have their own means of income. It is heartbreaking for me to watch this, for most of my friends and acquaintances here came not out of choice, but obliged, even forced because of circumstances. My heart goes out to this man. I hope he gets the trust back of his village.

Did anyone else notice how wise beyond his years that young guy was. I was kind of surprised by his remark near the end when he said Even way out in the middle of nowhere ," You know when you got money every one wants to be your friend and listen to you but. when it's gone no one wants to hear your voice." Kind of scary how the same people are no matter where you go. I liked that young guy. He seemed like a really nice easy going person. A person who if he called you a friend would actually mean what he says and actually try to do anything he could to help his friend. COOL GUY WISH I HAD A FRIEND LIKE HIM

@jpr21778 жыл бұрын
+gujjar pakistani Bro; cool down! The video or short film is not about progress or they would have made it in a metropolis not in a village. But it's about the burden a man has on his shoulder who go out to earn a living to sustain a whole village back home. For Every success story there are many failures and disappointments too. The mouse hole four or eight of these workers squeeze them self into for years, is only recently discovered, how in humane and cruel the life of these people is there. Not everyone has the guts, nature or steel to handle it. Check those videos here on KZbin.

+liedetector101 thank you for being so honest and telling the truth. some People would like to say oh it is beacuse of this,and beacuse of that. but it is the fault of muslims themself. look at east asia, look at other Places. when i went to Afghanistan all those i talked were telling me how what science Discover today, is already in the quran. instead of Learning real science in Afghanistan, they are Learning about the hadith, and the miracles Muhammad did. instead of working so hard to memorize the quran, they should learn real science. by real science i mean, Math,physics,chemistry and so on.

+liedetector101 selective facts how many chinese have won Nobel prizes in Sciences over 1 billion and how may Indians have. Yet both of these races have contributed. What you failed to mention is that most of the Jews Nobel prizes were not won in Israel but USA where we all know the advantages that they have there.
@heresapollo8 жыл бұрын
+liedetector101 I advocate for secularism and education. But to say Islam is why people are poor is a gross generalization. To pin the economic disparity on poorer countries by saying it's their fault they are poor is overlooking the power structures imposed by ex-colonial powers that now form the first world and which actively propagate inequality to maintain their economic hegemony.
@heresapollo8 жыл бұрын
+liedetector101 lol Cuba is a perfect example of the first world countries (through the embargo) creating conditions that make it difficult for economic growth in third world countries. But it's okay, you seem only interesting in pinning all the blame on Islam, as if illiteracy is an issue only in Islamic countries. Iran is the country in which the states mixes religion and politics way more than many other Islamic countries. And yet Iran leads as the producer of scientists and medical personnel in the region. It's literacy rate is at 82% (97% amongst youth). Moreover most University students are women (65% according to a unicef census). So how does Iran fit in your narrative of Islamic backwardness.
