Being an Indian Railway Employee, It is sad to see such pathetic conditions of Pakistan Railways. Pak Govt should invest in it. Railways has better potential to give the revenue in return than any other Expressway etc.

Railways is not for bhikaris 😂 if you are IR employee you should know how much is building, running and maintenance costs of Railways, Bhikaristan can't run them and jo bhi inko khairat me British deke gaye the ye usko bhi Maintain nahi kar sakte 😂 that's why their Railway is shrinking We are proud of our IR, which is growing at breakneck speed, growth story of India is incomplete without IR

At one time ,My Nanaji ( Maternal Grandfather) was posted as ASM ( Assistant Station Master) at Landi Kotal . He remained posted at many places like Khewra, Walton Cantt and so on. Good Narration 👍 👍 👍 Good Greetings from Ferozepur Punjab.

For heaven's sake brother,, Seriously you think India took a progressive way of religion... It's satellite era and you're not supposed to live in fool's paradise. Pakistan might have took rigid Islamist ideology and that's not a thing to be proud of but on what technical grounds it hindered progress in transportation sector etc,, On the other hand in India Hindutva ideology,hindu-muslim roits like in gujrat and lot of other similar horrifying events through out India, extreme poverty,poor living standards,marginalized communities,dalits,societal taboos,exponential rape incidents,separatist movements,farmers protest,outdated conservative hindu rituals seem to effect society on a much deeper level.Just as India got bigger cinema industry or some noticeable progress in IT sector does not necessarily mean you can portray it as wholesome progress. Stop fooling around out of dumb patriotism. 😊

Today india have its own world class trains and semi high speed trains. We are building 554 world class station like airports. We have metros, RRTS(160kmph) and bullet train work is alo under construction. day by day we are building infrasture in railwyas, we have one of the world highest railway bridge(chenab), we have build many tunnels in kadshmir and successfully run trains in kashmir , while pakistan doesnt have any lines in POK

Your title absolutely right, From marvelous to miserable. As Indonesian railfans, I must said no doubt, in the past decade Pakistan railways more ahead rather than Indonesian railways company. But in this time Indonesian railways reformed rapidly. Hope next the Pakistan Railways Company will be developed and marvelous again.

Very nice video. Hopefully there will be a revival of Pakistan’s railway infrastructure. I watch lots of videos of train journeys in Pakistan and some of the stations seem stuck in time. There is a charm about them that’s missing in Indian railway stations but that charm is also an evidence of the lack of investment in railways. Good luck to Pakistan Railwaus.

10:32 good to see someone from Pakistan appreciating the the Indus civilization idol and tablets. This gels well with the overall video script, which tells the complete story of the undivided India. As an Indian both these things make me happy. But, seeing this comment section full of Indian comments and not a single one from Pakistan, is a big hint why Pakistan and its railway is in the state it is now, people there have no interest in their own past when it's told in a literary and truely historical fashion.

The reason behind that change was due to some reason which you maybe don't know unless you want to read the next part of the comment. The transfer from diesel to electrification needs whole new system was much money and when pr was bringing it was a time when pr was totally in shambles and also country where the money was not there and they started it at a wrong time without proper planning of futuristic goals to implement fully and arrange funds like a decade project, it was like half hearted effort without the will to go with it with strength and proper arrangements or funds and planning. So wrong Time They blamed it on line theft Which was a secondry issue the real was they didn't want to invest in PR after investing in road networks where their own cement sarya metal and bajri was selling at high demand they were not thinking of betterment of national asset of pr but their own pockets and in that there were powerful lobbies behind it among politician and those who control them as their own system like n l c was there and th y needed to fail pr to bring that freight business away from pr a major way to earn in PR and to their own trucking business there I hope I have cleared some of the on ground reality. Last when ex pk pm benazir was assassinated it was the time when or was worst hit by mobs even stations and bank were looted trains burnt and In Sindh province Which share almost 500 plus km of pr main ml 1 line were badly damaged which was never fully recovered. Though they fixed it from time to time but that system's real strength never came back.

भाई जान में हिंदुस्तान से हूं और आपका ये ब्लॉग देखा दिल खुश हो गया आपने बहुत ही अच्छी ,और बहुत खूबसूरत सलीके से इस को पेश किया उसके लिए आपको तहेदिल से शुक्रिया ।आपके देश में रेल की पटरी का जाल इसलिए नही बिछ सका ,क्योंकि वहां के हुकरामनो का निजी स्वार्थ।अभी हमारे यहां के पेपरों में पड़ा था की पाकिस्तान के बसों के सबसे बड़े नेट वर्क के मालिक के वहां पर गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई है। मेरे जातीय ख्याल हे की इसी तरह के लोगो के प्रेसर में वहां के नेताओं ने ट्रेन का जाल ही नही बिछाया हे एक बात और बताएं कि वहां रेलवे में कर्मचारी की तादाद कितनी ही,और वहां appointment किस तरह होता हे शुक्रिया

I am a resident of Thane who travels 36km daily to Bori Bunder for my job and now Bori Bunder is known as Chhatarpati Shivji Maharaj Terminal aka CSMT. And my great grandfather lived near Karachi Cantonment. And his father was in Railways. Before he died, he used to tell me that he wanted to travel in the same train in which he used to travel in his childhood. His grandmother(Naani) was from near Quetta. Whom he used to go from Karachi to Quetta to meet. He used to tell us that he fondly remembers the train journey through those rivers and caves. we wish we could fulfill his wish. My grandfather, father and I are very sad about this even today.
