I was listening to Anamika for the first time and really enjoyed the conversation & getting to know the Indian perspective. Thank you, Mahwash. Wishing your podcast and channel infinite success. 😊 PS. Anamika needs to check out Something Haute & Fuchsia Magazine that review Pakistani dramas on a regular basis.

Jafaaaaa🖤💎🎩 Can't explain my happiness when it was mentioned first. Despite the small dragging moments, it's outstanding! I believe Mann Jogi, Zard Patton ka bunn and Jafa deserve more appreciation

I think , you judged umera Ahmed wrongly and she wrote with multi-dimensional aspects . She wrote Zindagii Gulzar hai with aspects of female and male and in Jannet se aage she wrote the character of taha Chouhar. Nowadays I think the work of Rida Bilal is also great.

Enjoyed the conversation but I wanted to point out something about Jafaa especially Deebu track. PTV dramas and their audiences do not treat FL kindly who are less than perfect. And that is what has happened with Deebu. Her character is shown as very insecure, impulsive and immature (partly due to her age). And her character is even more dumbed down to glorify Numair's character and his actions. For example you have Deebu saying "Parh ke kya karloongi" and Numair comes in like a shining knight insisting she continued her studies.
@MahwashAjazАй бұрын
Imperfect characters are all the more interesting no? :)
@mahirasaiyed1618Ай бұрын
@@MahwashAjaz Yes I like her character as an imperfect character. what I am trying to say is that writer has made it imperfect to a greater degree just to make Numair's perfect goody two shoes personality shine. Andaleeb was made to say " parh ke kya karloongi" only so that Numair can show what a knight in shining he is when he insists that she continues her studies.

I knew nothing of p.culture till I started watching dramas.I am Muslim but stick 2 the shariah as much as I can but p.culture is driven alot by its traditions, some which are contrary to islam like dahez & caste discrimination.the men are very patriarchal & chauvinistic & the soceity regressive with no tolerance & inequities between genders more so than in the west.the joint family systems & unfair treatment of women in public is scary.many are uneducated in both islamic & secular & are misguided by a soceity that is very intrusive & dictatorial towards women.kmkt is a rage& a little decency showed by a male in dramas that should be normal is highly revered.numair & mustafa respecting their wives & giving them space & love is praised greatly.here it is expected as the least.gender viloence & women abuse is a epidemic worldwide but most countries have stringent laws in place &support groups with aggressive campaigning on harassment & equal opportunities 4 both sexes.why is pakistani goverment so tolerant & neglectful of something this serious.I know dramas exaggerate sometimes but are they accurate.

I don’t have to belong to Christianity or Hinduism to appreciate a story written by a Christian or a Hindu. The problem is storytelling not religion.

I am humanist and globalist.i love all good quality content around the world 🌎🌍🌎 Instead of restrictions on women to what to wear and what not we should educated our people women have equal right and choice to wear what she like and travel openly whithout societal judgment. Conservative mindsets lead to conservative societies and oppression of weaker in power structure. Just like china south korea japan embrace modernity we also should progress towards it.

India is embracing it ... Pakistan seems to not 😂😂
@doomcannon8014Ай бұрын
We should also learn to embrace different cultures and their sensitivity.Its diversity of world that make it beautiful and encourage to explore..Modernity could be expressed in many ways and not just what you wear.Its just an opinion and I do respect your views.
@themyself1212Ай бұрын
@@doomcannon8014 whenever someone give me argument of culture i would say with time culture can change just like our mother or father do not had access to internet or mobile phone in their childhood but younger generation embracing it. If we can embrace technology as a part of our culture now then we should consider all form of advancement which makes life easier. Wearing is just one example.In India many women wear saree due to culture and their upbringing but if they get chance to wear more comfortable clothes to carry and wear i would say it will transform info much more positive. Many women of old generation and rural area hesitate to wear other than saree or salwar kamiz due to societal judgment. Hope our society accept modernity as per today's requirement. In today's temparature of 35 45 degree if people still wear sarees or burkha due to societal upbringing even if they are filling very hot then we are still in 19th century . If men can wear shirts pants and coat in normal life then we should consider women may also might feel easier in more easier to wear and carry clothes. And it's goes for all fields not just for wear. Same goes for women in roads. If you look around and see how many women's are driving in roads who would say less than 20 %. And it's due to our collective upbringing if we decide than every women can also drive then you would see change in short period of time.i love china because they only believe in people and progress of Chinese people that's why they maid so much progress. No religion no caste no regionalism just one agenda development of Chinese people and ease of living in people.if you have chance to visit china then please visit. They have maid so much progress in all fronts.
