he was influenced by bhagvat gita and but when he saw that huge explosion then he probably realized the scale of his work , and what kind of huge destruction it can cause for humanity, that slok or verse was representing his inner pain and regret for creating such destructive weapon which will wipe out humanity if used , at final moment he realized it , scientists are as rational and scientific in their approach but they are human too, most scientists are religious people ,even our ISRO scientists are religious but they don't mix up scientific and religious things together in their science, but one thing they always do which is taking inspiration from religious philosophy , many of our great ancient indian scientists maintained distinction between relegion and science but they always took that philosophy part inside . and hindu scriptures mostly are filled with philosophy, culture and physical/mental conscience .

Coz as far as I knw, all ancient scientist in their works gave credit to the dharma or religion they followed and god they believed in and scriptures they read which brought them to such conclusions. According to Bhagwat Geeta there are 3 values in a human sato गुण, Rajo गुण and tamo गुण sato is responsible for doing work and not caring about results, rajo is responsible for more need of materialistic things and tamo is responsible for doing things randomly without knowing any reason & thus human has a nature according to different proportions of these values, if one get relieved of all these 3 values he will unite into Krishna and will never take birth & the way to be relieved from all these 3 values is very difficult, one has to become sadhu and need to live life of absolute detachment to everything and need to realise whatever he do it is done by Krishna and not by himself.

It is sad that the maker of this video forgot to actually quote that passage in Bhagwat Gita where Shri Krishna says that he is the Mahakal and shows that roop to Arjuna that terrifies him so much that he begs Shri Krishna to reappear in that friendly four armed form instead. After all, that was the main focus of the video, the message of Shri Krishna and the inclination of Oppenheimer towards the teaching of Shri Bhagwat Gita. Missed is missed!
