He started his career as a Music Industry A&R Executive and later moved to advertising and then to writing. He has written more than 10 books on movies, music, and memories. Since Respected Srinivas sir was saying a lot about Mehndi Hassan,..just wanted to say about what singer Hariharan sir (his maanasega guru) said in an interview about a Mehndi Hassan song which Hariharan sang for A R Rahman casually on his request in his Panchatan studio, which later A R Rahman promptly got inspired and made a tune and recorded a hindi song for the 1999 hindi movie 1947 Earth..the song was ' Dheemi Dheemi '

Arr was ACCUSED of plagiarism / outsourcing, THRICE; by 2 of his peers, AND by Hindustani musician's family! CHEW on it. Endha poovilum was born out of IR's GENIUS that there is NO such thing as Western or Folk - BOTH can be merged seamlessly because MUSIC is the ONE. Murattu KaaLai album has so much music, soul, and variety, even if you exclude that song!

That said, IR & most of his predecessors are the ONLY ones whose works are at least 95%-99% ORIGINAL. No one else comes even close that number.

Sir SPB paru paturukingala ekachaka expression varum. It’s the involvement and getting the mood, feel, anda freeness. It doesn’t need to be controlled and we can’t define those things. Song nala iruka ilaya adan mukiyam and that also taste differs it doesn’t need to be same for all. Music is an ocean and every one has their own taste to pick it doesn’t need to match. Inoru comment la natu nadra pata pati orutar solirukar that’s his taste we can’t say that is bad or like that guy who says that’s the best.

Brother no one says that’s low or anything like that. Music is about taste it doesn’t needs to be matched or same for everyone. Ungaluku ivar padradu pudikama pogalama adu unga taste and feel adukaga you can’t say it is bad. I like only Ilayaraja songs adukaga AR Rahman songs kevalama? Nooo it’s my taste avalavudan. Spoiling the career and opportunity of many aspiring singers and lyricists. Too bothered to give salary to other technicians and wanted to enjoy all the money.
