PALABEK REFUGEE CAMP UGANDA

Palabek Refugee camp was set up in March this year-2017 for asylum seekers from South Sudan. It was the influx of refugees that led to establishing a camp here. Currently Palabek Refugee camp houses at least 36,000 people in 8 Zones, which are further divided into Blocks. It is in the political/civil Lamwo district, within Acholi sub-region of northern Uganda.
Don Bosco has a community in the refugee camp. They concentrate on education, livelihood and pastoral requirements of the refugees.
