That play before Hellfire happened was pretty bad. He anticipated hellfire coming and didn't play the 1 secret that basically would instantly win him the game on Hellfire, and then he played the secret after his board was already taken out and the opponent had the just become able to use Twisting Nether making the +2 HP meaningless.
