The folded space insert has separate trays for each player, which are handy. Alas that insert makes the cover stay a few cm's higher above the base box, but the expansion doesn't fit in there with it..

At least there's plenty of room to keep it separate. I mostly had a problem with all the workers not going to fit bagged in that middle section. Oh well. Glad the video helped!

@@rulebookrundown Yeah, unfortunately the insert is kinda garbage, and it was quite pricey, too. At least we got the mini expansion, so silver linings, I guess.

What are those yellow meeples that you've put in at 01:10? Those aren't in the base game nor in expansion.

Those are the vassals from the mini-expansion included with the collectors box. Garphill may have some available as promos on their site otherwise. They are treated as wild workers and give a coin or provision discount when used!

I just wish the insert was more functional. Even you put the player pieces in baggies, as I do. You can't take out a tray for the workers or the coins, which is a real bummer.

Very true. At least everything has to be placed out on spaces anyway so even if we had a designated tray, it would empty during setup. Alternatively, you could cut carefully around each player well to remove them. Might lose too much integrity for the rest of the insert though :/ At least it all fits in 1 box. That's the main thing ;)

It probably is unless you plan on always using them. They can be easily identified by a star icon on the expansion cards if needing to separate. Normally I'd keep them facing the other way with the cards they go with.
