I don’t know how you do it. I love Rick Steve’s and Rudy Maxa, but why they never took us into Palazzo Pitti is beyond me. Your camera work and editing and ability to hold us hostage with your narration and passion is world class. Great job you two!!!

Loving your videos guys! My family visited the Bobili gardens and Pitti Palace in 2017, and we were blown away. The palace is like Versailles with decorations, and the gardens when we went were just lovely. The coffee house wasn't open, but the porcelain museum was, I remember being so anxious my kids would break something! Your videos are a perfect blend of information and interpretation. Great work, and thanks 😊

Watching this as we taxi down the runway (Toronto) about to take off for Rome. So excited that Florence will be our first stop. REALLY LOVE your videos, Mateo and Micha! Thanks for sharing your adopted county with the world! Such thoughtful work - great balance of camera work, editing, educational narration, and very human attitude … and honest sense of humour. Love you two!

We were in Florence recently and did a cycle tour on e-bikes. It hit the hills behind Florence and a vine yard and it was magical. Definitely go find it and visit the highest point for a stunning view back across the city from an ex-monastery site.

What a view anyway. It's pretty disappointing when you find out that some place is closed for restoration, but it happens and usually it takes ages right because generally it is a super delicate and slow process. Sometimes they open some areas where you can see the experts while they are restoring and I don't know if they are gonna do that there.
@TheGlobalExpats Жыл бұрын
Yea it was a bit of a bummer things were closed and blocked off, but it's nice to know they are trying to fix it all up! We'll just have to come back in a few years! 😅
@pile333 Жыл бұрын
@@TheGlobalExpats Yeah, it's pretty well known that, for example, the super technological restoration (especially for that age) of the Leonardo's Last Supper took 22 years to be completed. 😅 Or the Sistine' Chapel's restoration; there's a documentary about that right here on KZbin.

Everything I visited in Florence I know I went into every room, and I saw everything, and even if I lost a smaller fountain, or a painting I can live with that but at Pitti I must see again without Boboli (where I stayed for about 3 hours). I read that Pitti has 7 museums. When I was there, I went up 1 floor or 2 (without the first), where you entered because of the pillars, there were closed doors and I took the next room. And when I went down to where the cards are again the doors were closed. But I visited every room. Where did you find the royal apartment and the treasury?

I rented a beautiful 4 story home close to Pitti. I was surprised by how plain the outside was. Inside, of course was a different thing.

It's mind boggling that the millions of tourists(£€$) that flood these gardens and the Palace and they don't have full time maintenence workers and gardener's!! I was last in these gardens 6 year's ago and they were exactly the same!! Fountains were disgusting 🤢. Lovin your vibe!! 😍🤗

I live in Germany and I've been to too many fancy gardens in Europe and when I didn want to enter Boboli garden after hearing the 10€ entrace fee because it's ususally free or 3€ at other much more beautiful European gardens, the Italian staff laughed at me.
@giovannimoriggi583311 ай бұрын
Everybody knows it: Boboli it's actually an open air museum. Are Versailles Gardens free to entry? Definitely it's not. Then, tell me, what's wrong with you?! I'm not laughing, bro Firenze is packed in beautiful places with great art free to enjoy. Giardino di Boboli is one of the most ancient garden you can find, it's not just another fancy garden; it represents one of the first and most important examples of the Italian garden, which later served as inspiration for many European courts. So sorry it's not free, but please, don't complain.
@10anto82Ай бұрын
@@giovannimoriggi5833typical German,they always complain about something,it’s not a “typical” garden is an open air museum and in museums you have to pay to get in.
