The Riff Raff character in this clip is on par with Richard O'Brien from the movie - and from me, that is a HUGE COMPLIMENT. In the Time Warp I often see Riff Raft w/o the hard gutteral power that was shown by Richard O'Brien - this dude has got it.

Back in the Dark Ages when I went to college I was the coordinator for the campus Film Program. It was the part of student government that brought movies to campus. One weekend when my University was playing our state rival in football I scheduled this movie to play in our Theater Arts old theater. Built about 1935. I figured since the football game was out of town the attendance would be light. I could have never estimated so wrong. Totally different target markets. We had about 1200 tickets sold. I don't know the exact amount. We ran out of tickets at about 800. But almost every seat was filled. During the Time Warp number I had the house lights brought up about to 20%. Thus encouraging the giant mosh pit that was the covered orchestra pit for Time Warping. At the end where everybody falls down was most impressive. HOWEVER, just as I under estimated attendance, I also under estimated the damage. 13 seats were knifed, 3 fire extinguishers were shot off and untold number of scented toilet paper rolls were thrown in the air plus gallons of water were sprayed. Water on scented toilet paper stinks to high heaven. After all the costs including custodial overtime, damage, and security we still had a suplus enough to show the last 2 movies and a children's matinee for free.. We never had profits, just surpluses. All due to a Sweet Transvestite from Transexual Transylvania.

Yep, that sounds like a college "Rocky" screening alright. It sounds like you made two grave mistakes that night: 1.) Never underestimate the Rocky fandom. Even fifty years in, it's still as strong as ever. 2.) Ask any theater still playing the film on a somewhat regular basis and they'll attest a firm ban on water, wet food products, and open flames should be announced and enforced with a bag check. That's standard nowadays and most of the fans generally respect the rules. It's usually the fratboys that go to it thinking the "audience participation" aspect gives them free license to any chaos they can think of that make the biggest mess.

@@quentinquale1694 Preaching to the converted here. If you can't bother to make an effort to be close to the original, then don't do it, you will make people far more angry than just doing another unrelated crappy movie or play. I would argue that the same mistake was done with the 2000 version of Jesus Christ Superstar, not even remotely on the same planet as the original - big reason why it bombed in the theatres.
