I seen it coming. I sold all of my Paldea Evolved booster boxes for $129 about 2 months ago. I will buy more cases hopefully at $105 a box or maybe $110. If not I'll just keep pumping into 151 English and Japanese. There is always something to invest in.

I agree with all the points in this video but I think there are other factors that could affect the price of PE booster boxes. All consumers have limited capital. With the holiday season coming up, Surging Sparks coming up many people would have to choose between buying PE and other sets. Buy more 151 reprint/restock or PE? Smaller sellers probably don’t have as much cash flow as the bigger sellers. They might want to move stuff quickly for the newer sets and before holiday season. Lastly, if PE holds Paradox Rift might see a large price drop. Not everyone can pick up cases and cases of every set. Nonetheless I hope to pick up more PE for the personal collection 😂😂😊

Love the video! If people cannot stomach a 15%-20%-30% short term correction after a reprint, then people don’t deserve the 2x,3x, & 4x capital gain later down the road. Reprints are buying opportunities. More accumulation that I wish people understood. Great video 👍

I will admit: my mental modal for navigating modern sealed is heavily influenced by the reprints and price crashes of the SwSh era. Now, I have a long-term mindset, but for any new set that rises relatively quickly in value I assume there will be a reprint. This worked well for Japanese 151, and I’m still expecting it to work for English 151. But, I’d be happy to see the Pokémon company be more reserved with the print runs of their popular product… but I don’t trust them at all 😂 I’m here for the long-term either way. Great video Alex!

I think reprints are fake news. People don't understand anything about commercial printing and packaging if they think that a tiny restock like this is the result of a reprint. Pokemon Co. holds back a certain amount of every product and releases it in various ways at the end of the life cycle. I come at this from the sports card industry and the obsession Pokemon collectors have with "reprints" is really quite interesting. I've never seen any solid, never mind conclusive, evidence that there has ever actually been a reprint and if you look at what's happened with Crown Zenith, 151, and now Paldea Evolved, there is simply no sane justification for saying a "reprint" has happened. I wasn't around for Sword and Shield, so something different may have been going on there.

It’s not a reprint it was an arrangement made by the companies to buy stock and sell at a discount price but only at a certain time that was all printed at once the reprint is when all at once it shows up again onsite and in stores that don’t have club membership

I’ve been collecting and holding sealed for 3 years now and my wife always told my kids and I to pick up after my Pokémon crap. Then last month I put my entire collection and sealed holdings into the “Shiny” app and showed her I could buy a brand new car and still have leftover, she now refers it as “our” or “family” Pokémon collection.

100% agree! The market for Pokémon follows a predictable longterm trend, supply decreases as cards become scarce, while demand remains strong due to nostalgia and growing interest. The key is not to get distracted by short term volatility. Historically, holding onto sealed product and rare/iconic cards have always consistently yielded significant returns over time. It's simple: buy, hold, and let the market's natural appreciation work in your favor. if you can't stomach the volatility and patience then this is not for you.

Thanks Alex for the heads up. 👍 One of the two LCS near me dropped their PE booster box to 169.99 CDN while the other one still has it up at 199.95 CDN. It looks likes I will be adding more sealed booster boxes to my investment collection. It could be a mistake I made by going into hiatus for 6 months, as catching up is difficult to do (in terms of best possible prices). As you said in previous videos, booster boxes pre-ordering at much higher prices and after release day, they just go up from there.

Thank you, I’ve been thinking over and over in my head about turn overs or investments. I’ve come to the realization that in my personal situation i have to look for more of an investment than a turn over. I depends on each and everyone’s different situation on where they need to start if they want to get into this hobby. You can’t say you want to invest and then say you want to do a turn around for margins. It’s all dependent of your finance, goals, and commitment.

Honestly, if any sort of “reprint” news is looked at negatively, you’re emotionally investing. That’s never a good idea. Whether is Paldea evolved, Japanese or English 151, whatever, when the market has given you a glimpse at what they’ll pay for boxes or product, and these things come around, they’re opportunities! Emotionally investing never works out and you just get hurt. Stocks, bitcoin, doesn’t matter. Take the opportunities as they come along. It’s so funny how most people at $150 a box were like dang wish I bought more, then the opportunity comes and you panic sell. Change the mindset or your not gonna make it 🤘

If paldea evolved goes to $100 per box with a 30% off coupon code, that's $70. If paldea drops below $100 then even cheaper, if for any reason I dont get that price, no big deal to me I've already loaded up on S&S.
