I’ve seen Dr Mads Gilbert talk on various other news channels, and he’s absolutely 100% correct on everything here. Norway as a country (likely because of their wonderful Refugee Council that I see represented on news outlets so much) seems to be the European country with citizens most clear and outspoken about the protection of the Palestinian people against aggression by Israel and the likely genocide in Gaza, and I thoroughly respect and admire them for that. I’m from and in the UK, and my government and its primary opposition is an embarrassment on this, and not representing my views, or those of my local community. I’m a white British atheist living in a north London borough with a high percentage of non-white residents and of Muslims; though I’m sure I would still have the same opinion on the situation, even if I still lived in rural south-west England, without ever having met a Muslim. Like Dr Gilbert says, it’s not any kind of religious issue! Thankyou for this very enlightening Interview! So much to comment on but I will confine to the education component. Yes indeed I find the Palestinian children to be amazingly mature, articulate and intelligent! Among the things they say they miss the most it is very often going to school and learning that they miss. I have never come across such a passion for education as with the Palestinian children and this is obviously strongly encouraged by their parents. God please help the beautiful Palestinian people in Gaza!

An incredibly compelling podcast, with an extraordinary guest. Dr, Gilbert so eloquently sums up exactly what is going on with the Palestinians, with details and specifics that few in the rest of the world are even aware of. It is infuriating and disheartening to hear about the campaign of terror unleashed upon the civilian population of Palestine, by their Israeli occupiers , from someone who has experienced this nightmare on the ground in Gaza firsthand! The level of brutality, ctruelty, suffering and hardships that Israel’s actions have inflicted upon the people of Gaza and the West Bank, is unprecedented, horrifying and almost incomprehensible, to the outside world. Israel’s response to the October 7 attacks, is as Dr. Gilbert pointed out, disproportionate and without justification, as it violates so many international rules of engagement, which Israel is obligated to follow, and yet by its very actions chooses to completely ignore. Despite these glaring and flagrant violations like Israel’s bombing of hospitals, and ambulances,Israel is neither held accountable , nor made to suffer any consequences for its actions. This should outrage everyone in the world, including the governments of the West! Sadly the Western governments have turned a blind eye to all of this, and facilitated the ongoing perpetuation of these atrocities! One cannot fathom how this is possible, or why it is tolerated by all of Israel’s Western backers? It defies rationale or common sense why the West has done nothing to intervene and put an end to this genocide? Thank you for sharing this exceptional interview of Dr. Mads Gilbert with all of us! The world, especially those in the West, should hear what he has to say on this subject. Perhaps then enough if the public will demand an end to this horrific nightmare in Palestine, and get their governments to insist upon an immediate ceasefire , and the introduction of massive humanitarian aid so desperately needed by the residents of Palestine! You are doing an excellent job keeping us all well informed about what is going on in Palestine, please keep up the good work!

No, the right is for those occupied to defend against the acupying state as well as (only!) those indeviduals asociated who are themselves actively helping to oppress them, including anyone in the army/police etc. of the occupying society, but NOT to attack random indeviduals based on ethnicity etc. within the occupying group!
