@@jullietmburu9672 I entirely agree, and I agree wholeheartedly that Dr. Ware is a worthy candidate for greater exposure! (Although it sounds like he was quite busy the last few months fighting the >Zionist donors who tried to get him fired at UCSB where he teaches. But remember, Dr. Finkelstein was virtually nowhere to be seen before Oct. 7th. I have been following his trajectory since the despicable Alan Dershowitz, with the aid of his accomplices, ensured that Dr. Finkelstein didn't receive tenure at DePaul University in +/- 2007. But most people only became aware of him over the last 7 months as, other than an annual interview on Democracy Now!, he was barely present on alternative media previously.. So it's not as if he has been saturating the airwaves for years on end. From time to time he says he's tired (he does another one of his hour-long podcast interviews practically every other day…so it's understandable!), but he'll be around for quite a while longer! I'm a non-religious man, but what Prof Rudolph Ware said about what Mohammed said in regards to speaking out about injustice reminds me of something that Jesus said in the Christian Bible when he said "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.". I have always interpreted that as him saying " I have come to start a scandal and it's gonna get ugly". In that, I think what he meant is that his word was the "SWORD" and that it would be scandalous and disrupt the peace, or status quo, because his aim was to upend the establishment and their hardened, corrupt and wicked ways. I think the moral of that is we should never remain silent in the face of injustice even to our own detriment. We should never fear backlash for speaking truth to power and together we can make a difference. It is righteous to fight against injustice. I think that is the message being projected by, both Mohammed and Jesus. My Muslim and Christian brothers and sisters can correct me if I am wrong, but I think being human, regardless of faith or lack thereof, means being empathetic toward the suffering of others. I have a hard time understanding those who lack that basic ingredient. How can one observe a dead or injured child and have no emotional connection but, instead, pass it off as if looking at a piece of disposable furniture or clothing?
@FahimAhmed-xj9lq2 ай бұрын
Thanks for this comment. I never thought of the verse this way because it's so easy for atheists/orientalists to invoke the sword verse as proof that religion is evil.

As a white Englishman, as a cockney who has been the subject of class suppression all my life, I have to express my view that what Professor Ware is saying is about the path of sanity to a peaceful future. I would just say that whilst I agree that black people "know this story" there are white people who also know the story just as there are Jews protesting against Zionism. All I am trying to say is that this is about those of us who respect humanity and those of us who do not. It has nothing to do with skin colour, religion, culture or passport; it has everything to do with the human experience inside all of us. There are those against us and we need to make sure we stand together against them.

World domination and control, and all that comes with that, emanates from a specific part of the world. It has done so for 500 years and counting. If it is within all of us to be this way, why aren't others engaging in it? "We" the global South, just want to be left alone. World domination is not out bag.
@jullietmburu96727 ай бұрын
This is a testament of the western society, and so-called western "values". Its exposing the ruling class as being very classist and racist (supported by a huge voting majority). Who keeps them there?? The people waging these massacres (uS, isr, uk, Ger.. leaders) have been in power in their respective countries for decades, and their violent policies have been gaining favour for many years. They keep on being voted back - even after they go against their own people. Unless its through voodoo, the same "ordinary" citizens chose these war mongers. They are getting away with calling Islam "violent" yet Christianity has done far far much worse. Look at how differently Ukr. refugees/immigrants are being treated from "other" refugees. Look at how the media empire has treated the wars waged against brown & muslims.. as if they deserve to die.

It's telling that at the heart of white supremacist empire, in the British Isles, you would be arrested as a terrorist for singing Irish resistance songs until very recently. The Scottish and Irish resistance songs hold the history of those people, and they have a strong history of resistance. English resistance songs have been all but lost. The English have lost their tradition of resistance. The US tradition is to take the art of resistance and turns it into commercialised pieces of social engineering. "the stories that we tell create our reality" Always, the stories we are encouraged to consume by empire are engineered toward atomisation: gangster rap, isolating sexual practices, and ultimately battle cries to praise the oppressor and fight those designated as the problem 'other'.

It was through arm struggle and would have continued had it not been for military assistance to Azania from Cuba at Cuito Cuanavale. Fascinating! Informative & humbling, too. I despise REAL antisem1tis-um & have ridiculous amounts of receipts of my reverence for the religion, but the crash course in Zio-niz-um since 10/7 has really reawakened a dormant revolutionary spirit in me & changed my mind on 🇮🇱since I knew NOTHING but the passive Hasbara talking points the 🇺🇸feeds us about it b4. The “Manufacturing Consent” aspect of the “systematic raype”/“screams w/o words” NYT story was the final nail in the coffin of my support for 🇮🇱, which was hanging by a string by then anyway. I fell for the be-head-ed baby stuff ~10/8, but by the time that post-Xmas propaganda piece came out, the desperate attempt to rile us up over violation of 🇮🇱 wyt women was SO overtly from the Jim Crow lynching type of playbook, I was done. They’re grasping at straws w/their destroyed Hasbara PR, but the body count continues to rise & the degree of atrocities keeps getting EVEN worse & making my jaw drop EVEN further to the floor. Mass grave of medical workers targeted, tortured & bur-ed alive!!!!????? What in the sadistic F???? Enough’s enough. 15K children (+ stillborns & miscarriages) vs. 🇮🇱’s 1,200 💀total. The “self-defense” pretext is laughable at this point. But tragic….As is the pretext of pretending to give a F-ck about the remaining 🇮🇱hostages & “not stopping til we fully eradicate hUM-moss” (aka NEVER). Gen-oh-syde.
