With PhD in Economics from USA Dr Ramaprasad renounced the most attractive country and returned to the most spiritual country taking to spiritual music as his ambition, what an excellence in tradition, an exceptionally great virtue. What a musical genius is he. God bless.

With his PhD in econ and post doc from Harvard he could have easily settled in the US, but he chose to return to yoga bhumi from bhoga bhumi, for spiritual pursuits which makes him a great personality.

@@VGBGI sir,that's what I am emphasising.palghat mani iyer is such a genius he immensly contributed to the field of ತಾಳ and laya for which no mundane education can be eqated for it.As u rightly said "from bhoga ಭೂಮಿ to yoga ಭೂಮಿ.bhoga ಈ mean mundane,sense pleasures.by rejecting it,he returned to what his grand father was for that is Nadayoga.

One tends to concur with Ganesh Kumaar that ' Manassa '. is in Malayamarudham n not Maaya-maallava-gowllay ; the sruddhi reverberations of Aasaavari preceding this krithi probably influenced the commentator's judgment.

Dr. Ramprasad has shruti shuddham, great lung capacity, very good training, is able to reach high and low pitch at ease, but the voice sounds nasal.

One agrees wid Raadha that occasional nasalisation enhances the breadth of vocal possibilities. Great singers like MKT employed certain nasal intonations to advantage.
