I'm a solo player so it's upsetting to see they are locking cool new furniture behind parties and I doubt that I'm the only solo player in the game. Bad move IMO. Some of us have done the whole party up things for decades with raiding and guilds in MMO's and are tired of it. Many of us like our time in Palia because we don't have to group up. I realize they force this on people because they think if they make you make "friends" in a game you won't leave it.... but it is forcing ppl to do something they don't want to be doing. Also alot of us came from the Sims (which has been trying to push playing with friends online 4ever) and the majority of the players don't want it. I hope this isn't where this game is heading in the future. I know they are trying to fulfill the MMO marketing aspect of the game but there should be other ways that solo players can get the same objects. *end rant Love all the other features tho! Fantastic video... BTW :)

I literally was just speaking to my husband about this and the whole making friends thing is definitely something that makes people stick around in games. Hopefully, if you can just get the furniture then you can go back to playing alone.

Palia's core spirit is community though. The story is about community. I mean even the name is PALia. From what I have seen in the servers, streams, discords the actual majority likes these updates. Going the direction for solo playing doesn't seem to be align with the core values of the game and the devs . I'm sure you can do a request in-game chat to team up just to get the perks and then go on your merry way. I mean I will help you if needed! We don't gotta chat or anything.

Then you might need to go back to acnh. I am a solo player but now and then I party up with people to hunt 😅. Try it, is fun.

I’m not thrilled with the move to get players to group up even more. I’ve always preferred soloing any game I play and hinging so many items on being in a party is not encouraging to me. So I empathize with everyone who has the same problem with this update.

Yeah, I tend to play alone too. The only reason I would try partying after the ladybug plushie would be while trying to hunt the magical chaapa and muujin. Just can't seem to do it alone

really wish they would do more sales on premium store items (maybe a rotating weekly sale?) because i love so many things they add but i just can’t justify spending a ton of money on the items 😅 but besides that, i’m happy with most of the things in this update! most excited for the pirate furniture and the creature health bar!

I do think that Palia needs to either review the amount of tables or the hours of opening for the hot pot - impossible to get to a table. Hopefully it will cool down in a few weeks.

Its been really hard for me as a switch player. Cant type fast enough in chat, had to learn etiquette thanks a streamer online after someone told me something about a tree when they where in a group. So now I just do what I can in quests, in furniture it requires flow planks I just can't. The rewards with the new update like it was commented is made for a community, but honestly for me being on a switch never imaging to love gaming at my age I just Have to understand the this day & age in technology and find something else for the switch. 😢

So true about typing in Switch! It takes so long that I end up missing out on other stuff. I haven't even found out how to accept party requests yet so I end up getting left behind by PC players even when they try to include me 😥

I'm on Switch too and I agree that typing is annoying. That being said, you can still get flow trees easily. When someone finds the grove at midnight, you can just type "omw", and run to the grove. People will wait for you, they usually chop at 3.00 am.

If you need people to join up with and play with, I have a friendly active community within my discord. I echo what people have said about the groves and also maybe try requesting planks too. Do you also use flare arrows as if you find a flow tree that may attract people to it?

They have blown it out of the water with this update! (pirate pun) The premium shop looks amazing and the growable furniture is so beautiful. I think I'm most excited for the quality of life updates and group loot improvements.

They have managed to make people angry with this one. Even if you do parties, there's only a small chance of getting the new furniture and plushies. The Pirate furniture you earn by spinning the wheel is also a rare drop. I'm doing one more plot, then I'm leaving and never oming back. These devs need to be tught a lesson.

Spend money for stuff here, spend money for that there: 1)...the people who are disconnected to the value of money and pay those crazy prices are part of the problem, giving companies the "justification" for those prices (pet now costs over 12,50$) 2)...force people into RNGmechanics to be longer ingame (ZekkiWheel, Luckyballs) 3)...force people to group to make friends (harder to quit the game) 4)...dont raise plot itemlimit (still 3000 even on PC is a joke) Update made me realise that all what really matters to them is the PREMIUMSTORE. (bugs like unable to loot bags still exsists after over 1 month!)

I'm SO happy they're giving us a real reason to play Hot Pot - the game is fun, yes, but winning a whole 150 coins wasn't exactly thrilling 😂 Now I'm gonna be down there every night like it's the Maji Market all over again. Super excited for the metal building blocks too - they're gonna work really well with all the PalTech stuff! And man, they are REALLY trying to get my money, huh? 😂 I just wish either the coins were cheaper, or the bundles cost less coins - it is SO hard to justify $30 or more for only one or two cosmetics.

Palia is starting to look less like a beta game... I still miss real combat, I understand what they want for the game as it is. But, as a MMORPG gamer, I cant help but miss dungeons, boss fights and real combat;

Shop items not exactly something for me. I want to give them some money, but nothing worth my money. The female outfits look amazing obviously :D I am curious if their business plan is the right one. Nothing much for low income players that want to drop smaller amounts of money over time or something for your first "thank-you" purchase.
