Bizarro would make a great foe for Superman in this line. I didn't realize The Flash was also in this line. I've only ever come across Batman, Robin and Superman. Since those were the only three Mego figures I had as a kid, they were my primary interest anyway.

Mego has done such a great job! Too good. I can’t find Shazam for retail cost! But that says they must be popular and for that I am happy

Reverse Flash was a good choice for head and boot re-use but I think Captain Cold or Captain Boomerang would have made for a more era-appropriate addition.

Did Mego make a recent change on the Penguin box? It looks like the ones in retail now have the Penguin letters in snow caps like the 70s version and it just says Penguin without the "The." Also now seeing Joker boxes with that old 70s Joker letter. Maybe they found a loophole and got them released after all like the originals?

I got last year the mego joker at an antique store $90 and look forward too getting penguin and riddler also too.

Those are really cool and being a 70s kid I so remember seeing these at JC Penney and even Toys R Us As far as villains, it would be cool to see the evil version of KISS from KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM and Swann from Phantom of The Paradise would be cool as hell

That Reverse Flash looks phenomenal. Great video. I would love to see a Mr. Freeze but no worries either way. I have so many wonderful Mego and Mego-like figures.

great video. For DC characters i'm looking forward to Hawkman. i'd love to see them do a Ted Kord Blue Beetle. I also hope they can get the license for Marvel again because I'd love to pick up a new Spider-Man, Captain America & Thor, and I dream of them doing a classic Spider-Woman.

Brian, I don't know if this is relevant, but the Joker logo on this reissue parallels the logo on the DC Sofubi figure boxes where the line was going for the 1970s look. As to the wish list of foes, a proper Cheetah. Mattel came the closest, but they fairly s*** the bed on the body.

Some awesome figures! I want to get the Joker. I have the Riddler Mego put out a couple years ago and the FTC Penguin. I really want to see the Teen Titans reproduced. As for a WW and Captain Marvel villain, Cheetah for WW and for Captain Marvel Mego already made Black Adam, a great choice.

random thoughts: I would buy a comic where those three team up to fight a hero in a second. I had the Penguin back in the day and my brother had the Riddler. Little jealous, as he still has the Riddler and my Penguin is long gone. Those new figures are gorgeous and really testing my vow to stay away from action figure collecting.

The Reverse Flash is just a modification of the FLASH comic book logo, and it seems to be from the 1990s Wally West run.

They've done the line proud with these. The changes are actually improvements, which I find to be a rare thing in modern "rereleases". I wonder if the modern Reverse Flash logo is connected to his being called Professor Zoom half the time or more; that name had a logo, but I don't think anyone knows him by that now. His eyes being red, which I don't recall them ever being back then, are perfcetly gine with me. They set a mood and are going to be a draw for his modern fans. The one thing I'd have prefered was the Penguin's new logo just being block print. I don't recall any classic name logo, but maybe Whose Who had one they could've used?

I'd like to see Mister Mxyzptlk too. For me it makes sense to have new figures but I wouldn't want to see the old ones subtrack like Mister Mxyzptlk or Tarzan.

The new Joker box has the Joke Comic book logo which was published LATER than the toy in the 70s. Penguin never had his own comic, ergo he never had an official logo. Sorry i didn't watch last night, i fell asleep early. 11 pm is way past my bed time, even on saturday.

The collar for Joker and the bow tie for Penguin seem a little off. Sad that there's no snow in Penguin's logo. And why does Joker have an all white body? That doesn't look right to me. I thought that his face was white and he wore gloves.

To be honest, when the 50th Anniversary WGSH line was announced, I was kind of meh about it. We had gotten arguably better, more modern versions of most of these characters, and I've never had the same nostalgic attachment to the boes that some fans do. As a kid, I tended to prefer the cards, because they had more artwork/pictures of other figures and toys available, but between the bandless bodies, never before made characters and the general excitment of Mego and the community, I've really gotten onboard with it. I was already planninfg to get the Reverse Flash, Riddler and Joker, but was hesitent about Penquin. Until now that is. Thanks to your review, I'm down for the entire wave. Good stuff. Though I might swap a few outfits around with those of the eariler Mego figures. We'll see! Thanks!

First, Great video, Brian. Second, I am honestly on the fence about a Joker figure. I already have the Wolf Man, the Universal Frankenstein, the Mr. Hyde and the Hammer Dracula. I am happy with my Mego bad guys. Third, I can’t think of any other Super Foes that would sell.

I still haven't found the 2nd part of wave 1 yet. I got to be honest I think there starting to drop the ball with this foes wave. The boxes are changed up alot more now and that reverse flash is definitely a pass for me

Look forward to the new bandless female body, maybe they can do Negative Wonder Woman. ^_^ They look great to me, some nice small refinements to the OGs. I have limited vintage experience but they look like some quality reproductions. Not much a Flash guy but always like Batman villains. :D

I heard that they should be start appearing between mid-Jan to mid-Feb (which is kinda NOW). While I LOVE finding new toys on the shelf at retail, there's always Frank Wojo of Absolutely Retro who will have Megos for sale first.

Definitely need a Sinestro to fight GL. WW needs Cheetah. Sups needs a Lex Luther but I honestly would love to see a Bizarro. Kinda falls in line with having a Flash and a Reverse Flash.

My biggest disappointment with Reverse Flash has got to be the modern logo and artwork that was used on the box and, for the time period, he shouldn't have the red eyes, either. Zoom may not have had an official logo in '75/'76 but there was one in the Who's Who books of the early 80s that would have looked more appropriate. I hope that going forward the boxes for never-before characters will be more period correct like Flash and Green Lantern. I kind of expect Harley Quinn to show up and know that DC's licensing created retro artwork and logos for her, here's hoping those assets are the ones used.

c mon; reverse flash was one of the firssted ishes good maybe ideas that DC had at that time; dont take away their participaction in the orignation of the reverse super hero
