I have used water and vinegar w/essential oils for years. I use nothing else on my surfaces, even in the bathroom. Baking soda and vinegar followed by boiling water in my kitchen drains and bathroom drains once a month works great. For windows, I use Norwex cloths and just water, NO STREAKS. No chemicals in my house for cleaning for years. :). Use Olive oil and some Lemon or lavender essential oils for wood furniture spray. Works great.

Nice list of cool ideas here. Most of them are just ways to keep the house fresh. For cleaning baking soda is more of a go to cleaner than vinegar for me. I love your idea of adding essential oils to the vinegar though to improve the smell!

The sachet bags in the dryer are a great idea. I saved my Christmas tree needles which was a Douglas fir. I will use them plus some dried lavender for the sachet bags. I was just going to use the sachet for clothing closet and drawers. The dryer idea is a wonderful replacement to the costly dryer sheet. I want to make the dry laundry detergent too. New Year's resolution is to try to use less chemicals. Thanks so much for all your great ideas!
