Pallet Town in Unreal Engine [Pokemon Pixel Art in 3D]

While working on my follow up to my big Cinematic Scene • The Shuttle - Cinemati... I decided to learn some more of how to Engine works, making a sprite character move in 3D space and building a small test bed to play around in. This ofcourse had to be Pallet Town due to my love of Pokemon. I decided to use Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen as the main inspiration to build off of. It was a blast making this over the past week and I'll be back again soon with my next VERY LARGE cinematic scene!
Pallet Town first appeared in the Pokemon games originally released for the Nintendo Gameboy in 1996 (Japan) 1998 (America) and 1999 (UK/EU) and was created by Game Freak - this was my rendition of that small starting town.

kind of reminds me of the style for Octopath. this looks really cool! Although if I may make a quick suggestion (assuming you aren't planning to do this already), could you add more movement to the sprite? only the arms and legs move atm, which makes the sprite move a but awkwardly. Again, this looks really cool and I am excited to see more of your work!

Sam Wooten thanks. I didn’t make the sprite actually but it 100% needs that ‘bob’ in it’s walk cycle. I don’t plan on continuing this, I just make scenes in Unreal at the moment while I learn the engine - this is my second thing in Unreal so still a lot to learn. Thanks for the comment :)

Is there a tutorial? I want to create my own mon series and willing to create an entire Dex of completely original mons though the series would have similarities to Pokemon I'm going to capitalize on some of the things that Pokemon has been failing at in the past 10 years or so. Looking for any good fan art to help the creative mind of mine to flow. I already got my first starter. The inspiration is an Armadillo Lizard and it will start out cute and kinda goofy and eventually become a dragon in its final form.

Make the 3D models, texture them, import them to Unreal Engine, place them correctly, add some shading and lights, and you're done.

Not dead, this was the goal of the project. It’s many years out of date to my current skill set but as I work in the games industry now I don’t have much time to do similar projects anymore unfortunately.

FireDragon04 for me it was the incessant tapping, which are akin to old men coughing in a concert hall, which can get grating over the time. Personally I prefer classical Spanish guitar style to Hawaiian guitar (which this one was closer to), since it has a softer tone. It's not such a bad cover, but I understand why it's not up to everyone's taste.
