Palm Sunday: The Real Story

Today is Palm Sunday. We are going to go back that day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem to shouts of praise. Luke 19 gives us a rare glimpse into the very real human emotions of Jesus. Hebrews 5:15 says, "We do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but was in all points tested as we are yet without sin."
At this point, Jesus is headed to the Cross. We will follow His steps right up to Easter. The story before us is about what happened on Palm Sunday and after.

President Trump said yesterday at the briefing that he was going to celebrate Palm Sunday with a great church in Riverside, CA online. I just listened to Jack Hibbs at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills CA and he said that the President was referring to Greg Laurie's church in Riverside. So, I thought I would listen to Greg today as I want to hear what the President will also hear. Jack Hibbs in on the President's Faith Initiative Counsel and has visited the White House many times, met many of the members of the cabinet, including Mike Pompeo and he was actually able to speak directly to the President for a few brief moments a few months ago. Trump is surrounded with born again believers, and I pray that along with Tony Perkins , that Jack is also able to get the opportunity once again to speak to Trump as I KNOW if he got the chance, just what he would say. There are many different denominations and faiths represented on the Faith Counsel, but I always pray it will be Evangelical ones that will get to speak salvation to Trump. This guy , like the Pharisee Nicodemus, needs to hear from Jesus that "you must be born again of the Spirit in order to enter into the Kingdom , no man can go to the Father except through me" Trump portrays himself as the tough as nails sort, but underneath there is a person who needs Jesus as much or more than all of us. I pray he finds Him soon, the clock is ticking, ticking , ticking. Even so, Lord, come soon.

It takes strength to be meek. it takes strength to to not conform but rather to recognize the truth and try live by it. The word became flesh that we might consume it and be one with God. Praise be to The King knowing that he wore a crown of thorns whilst been praised by the shallow hearted who hailed his crucifixion by making his thrown the cross and his crown a crown of thorns. There were some who saw the truth and weeped whist the rest denied him,betrayed him,beat him and turned his fathers house into a den of thieves. Glory be to God for taking the darkest moment to generate the light of salvation. May The Spirit of Truth dwell within us.
