Read the prodigal son story in the Bible. How did the son go back? The son was nearly destroyed, stinking of pig filth, dressed in rags, starving...The son made a decision to leave everything and return to father. The father had been hopeful the son would return. Father went running to the son, killed a fattened calf, dressed him in good clothing and threw a party to celebrate that his son was back. The son is us in our sin. The father is God the Father. If you continue in sin, you run the risk of becoming hard hearted and having a seared conscious. Run to the Father God just as you are. Ask for God's forgiveness and help. Resist temptation and it will flee from you. God will help us. Only God can clean us up.

A chapter or two each day (depending on the length, sometimes not even a whole chapter) from OT, NT, & the books of wisdom. I highly recommend that; you really get to see the “wholeness" of His Word. Also, a solid Study Bible helps so much! But however you choose to read it, don’t rely on feelings; it’s alive and working even if you don’t “feel” it. ✝️💟

When Jesus said to take up all the scraps. Nothing is wasted. I believe he meant that nothing in the Bible is wasted. Nothing in Jesus' teachings are wasted. Nothing in God's word is wasted. Nothing in what a stranger has to say to you is wasted. Nothing in your belief in God and Jesus Christ is wasted. Quote the bible and give me the passage where it says not to get drunk. Pastors cannot drink. But everyone else can drink. Am I a sinner. yes. I love God and Jesus Christ. DO I get drunk. Yes. You were saved at 17. I was saved at 49. You can never know what it is like to be an alcoholic for most of your life but has come to Christ, but still struggles with alcohol. I know my faith. I know my love for Jesus. You will not change my faith. My sins are my own. Just as your sins are yours. Do not judge me. I ask this of you Greg. What would you do if you continued your life before you were saved. Would you have your wife? Would you be an alcoholic? Would you be dead from your addictions? I am alive. I Thank God for this. Please pray and ask God for you to understand those who were not fortunate enough to be with God when they were young like you. I may not be the best Christian out there. But I will never let anyone tell me I am unworthy because I drink. You failed me or the first time in your ministry. God has never failed me. I forgive you. I truly hope and pray that you read this. I do have problems. But so do we all.

Perhaps reading about Jesus' death and discussing how difficult it must have been for God, the Father, to witness the son's treatment, abuse and death. ✝️🛐

It was disobeying God that brought sin into the world, not an apple. We don't know if it was an apple, we are only told it was forbidden fruit. The good news is that Jesus overcame sin and death on the cross. When we confess our sins and believe that Jesus paid the price for that sin, and we turn away from that sin and follow Jesus we will have eternal life with Him and the Father, God.
