This is just my theory..once the car broke loose at the 60 foot Mark and lost initial speed when you got back into the car hard it was making too much torque and power for the track on the big end being the setup/ traction and the fact the car unloaded and loaded was the issue I don’t think it was you or the car. Simply because the car wasn’t grounded as it should be, nothing you could of done to save it.

@@brucemoore634 Dude... There was oil leaking out under the car... you can literally see it pouring out as he pulls away off the line... The tires got oil on them and the car lost traction and couldn't hook back up. Not the drivers fault. I agree there. @palmbeachdyno Hope you realize this. Watch the video closely.

Tough video to make. I’m giving a like for you and everyone that had anything to do with the endless R and D with this project that supported the builds of countless incredible/unbeatable cars out there with the information that came directly from this project. Regardless of your decision with this car you have proven the combinations work world wide. Like you and PBD I’m Blue Oval inside, however….. Expanding the PBD footprint and taking your knowledge to the new twin cam LS3 Z06 platform with the same passion you brought for so many years to the Ford product could balance the racing universe. May the Force be with you. GL friend

One of my favorite KZbinrs! I don’t even know what to say or where to start. First I’m glad he’s alive and ok, can walk and healthy and emotionally back to normal-ish. Second there’s gotta be an effort to put that car back to what it was. Yes it’ll be a fortune but that car was the king not because probably wasn’t the fastest (maybe it was) but it was THE BEST. Pedigree, Aura, presence, it wasn’t just a mustang it started and had the original GT500 platform. I was disappointed when it went TT. Shoulda kept it S/C, but that’s the nature of the the addiction for more Hp. Good luck and hope for a prompt recovery whether is with Overkill or not.

Also had he not been hard on the brakes he would’ve saved it. He upset the car too much to save it putting all the weight on the front end and letting rear get light like that
@aab350z
@aab350z Жыл бұрын
@@ethan5977 One of the reasons I'm not a big fan on drag racing at this level. The cars don't really do anything well at this point other than hooking up, but only under acceleration. Those tires with their sidewalls the way they are are terrible once the car gets sideways, almost unrecoverable. It just becomes a big mess if things don't go right and you lose traction for whatever reason. Risk versus reward.

I feel for your loss but respect you more than ever for asking for no donations or to donate to someone that truly needs it. You have a very successful business and i know you'll be back on top in no time. My 2018 f-150 is pretty far from a gt500 in any comparison but i did find out my ABS was being applied to my rear brakes even with my TC turned off. I rarely turn off advanced trac but I'm unsure if it would make a difference. At 45k miles my rear pads were gone and the remaining rotor life was nearing its minimal thickness all while my front brakes were in decent shape. I do hot rod my truck around, heavy takeoffs, hard on braking in the hills etc but im not brake torquing my truck either. It was all the proof i needed that ford programmed these vehicles to unknowingly be applying brakes when detecting wheel spin to counter it. I never noticed it while driving but it was definitely happening. Ended up doing a full powerstop upgrade.

Sorry for your loss man! Glad youre ok! Do you think the issue had anything to do with having the stock front tires on the car with slicks? I thought I was told awhile ago that if you run stock front tires with slicks they counteract each other since they have different grip levels. It was recommended to run skinnies. Just wondering if that was something you were thinking of. You tuned my twin turbo Mustang remotely here in AZ and it runs amazing!! There is a racing event Im thinking of entering in Tucson but would like to hear your thoughts on the tire setup though.
