At what point are we going to learn the limits of the Predator bottom end? KZbinr StangMode blew his engine at one point, but I don’t think I’ve heard of any other folks suffering the same fate.
@CarbonYote3 жыл бұрын
@@asdf51501 so the reason stangmode blew up is because he leaned the car out being on e85 with just upgraded injectors but stock fuel system making over 1000whp. That being said I’m curious as to the limits as well

You are the guru of the GT500. It's fantastic what your able to accomplish from the engine to the DTC. I'm wondering if you are working with Ford performance regarding your products, kits and testing. It would be a huge advantage regarding Ford Performance and continuing moving the GT500 to improved performance levels and I'm guessing helping you as well. I can't imagine where Ford will take the GT500 in the future, but with your R&D. The only direction is up. As always. Great Job!

Thanks for the detailed content, dislike the other videos out there with people just showing it making massive amount of power but not a single detail about the setup. There are 3 very important things people need to understand before compaing supercharger against each other and the power the make those are elavation, blower RPM speed and then boost. A recurring theme people who pay attention will notice smaller supercharger tend to always make massive amount of torque down low and even comparable hp vs the larger superchargers at certain boost level. Some people spin them harder to make more power but there are negatives of course that comes with that. Those negatives are high blower rpm and heat in the or higher IAT's. Right now the 3.8L is bascially stretching its legs and the 2.7L is giving it its all. So once one starts to make the larger supercharger match the blower speed (or match the same amount of effort) of the smaller one, thats when you start to see the big difference the two blowers, higher achievable boost levels without boost dropping off in the upper rpms, lower iats compares to the smaller blowers, and of course more power. Great video with a lot of good information

3:41 I would set the hook to as in line as you can, meaning, lower them down. I was a forklift mechanic, those guards are good at keep thing from going backwards mainly, I've seen them pop things off and lean forward. Still hook it to the guard, but down lower to not give it as much leverage on the guard.

At this state at least. It seems unless you plan build the engine. Run well over 20psi of boost and continue to hope the DCT will be able to become tuned. It seems the stock blower can produce all the power 99% of the GT500 owners might have desire to and the stock engine and transmisson might still be able to hold and stay reliable.

Ken, you didn’t mention fuel. I’m assuming 93 on the 3.75 and 3.5 pulleys and race gas at the track??
@ShizzySupra3 жыл бұрын
Guaranteed that was always on e85. For smaller pulleys they will probably go to a specialized Ignite red / one ethanol R.
@carltasca8773 жыл бұрын
E85 should have yielded a lot more torque. The relatively low torque suggests lower timing for pump but I wanted to hear from Ken for sure.
@ShizzySupra3 жыл бұрын
@@carltasca877 torque is 70-80 off of the maxed out stock blower setup and partially due to the way the airflow works of the bigger blower. 24 psi at 3500 rpm vs the 3.8 whipple 16-17 psi at same. Do stock blowers make 1000whp on 93?

Great video! Can I ask at the track why u were using the paddle shifts vs letting the car just shift for you?
@PalmBeachDyno3 жыл бұрын
When done properly, manually shifting the car is actually faster and at higher power levels its more consistent then letting the car try to shift for itself.
@OnlyFastFords3 жыл бұрын
Plus unless something changed in auto shift mode the car only shifts at stock rev limiter of 7300rpm. We shift at 8500 at the track manually shifting. I wish the car would shift auto at 8500. I hope that changes soon.
