My favorite part of the Anduril story is when Trae approached Palmer he was invited out to Palmer's place where he had emptied out a pool to build a ramjet. They hadn't even started a defense company and hi was already thinking ahead. I love that he's wearing a NERV jacket. His market ideas are really interesting, like the non-profit prison idea he had. He's also said if he wasn't into defense he could seriously disrupt the adult entertainment industry if he'd wanted and that's definitely a place where a little innovation would go a long way. I've never heard of left-handed sugar. This is a great interview with some really great stuff. I think super AI wouldn't take over humanity but take pity on us and save us from ourselves. But dumb AI wielded by evil people is a biger problem.

Boy, I’m glad that he’s an American citizen. I’d hate to think if some foreign power had access to his brain. And IMO, he’s a product of the American ideal….young boys tinkering around with mechanical stuff and machines trying to make them better and more efficient and eventually turning a profit from them. Entrepreneurs like Tesla and Musk came to the US where they could develop their ideas in a politically unrestricted atmosphere.
