I'm a Voudist who's always been fascinated with Palo Mayombe. I'm trying to learn about Palo Mayombe but one thing I can tell you is this - Palo Mayombe's magic is far more powerful than most types of sorcery rather European or African and I know that because I remember seeing a video of you saying this is nothing like Wicca.
@mavoungoukelanou80453 жыл бұрын
The words they use in Palo Mayombe are from the Kikongo language (language spoken by the Kongo tribe). "Mayombe" is a mountain range and a forest located in the Congo, the people who live in that forest are called "Bayombe" (which is a subtribe of the Kongo tribe). I didn't know about Palo Mayombe till yesterday and I'm surprised that you are still using words from my local language and you even kept the meaning of those words. It's amazing. Nganga, Nkisi, Tata, Nsambi, Ndoki, mama, Ngoma, Konga,... Are Kikongo words. Now I know I got a family out there.

I got nothing from church and I always wondered why everyone around me did but not me. I hear drumming, see fire, go into the woods, go around certain animals, etc. and my soul gets fed. I suppose it's the pull I feel to my roots. I'm in my search, which is why I'm here. I'm going to subscribe and watch to learn from the videos here. Thanks for the opportunity. 🙏

Nsala malekun. Nice video very informative. I’m Puerto Rican my father is a priest in Santeria and also a Palero in palo mayombe. He wants me to be initiated I was hesitant when he first asked me as a kid if I would join and follow in his footsteps. But now as an adult I would say that I want to follow our African traditions and continue the legacy it is very important and as a kid when I went to church I never felt anything but being around my dad in the basement around the pot and at ceremonies or just being around him while he was feeding the pot or many numbers of things I could feel the presence the thing they say you should feel at church but never do. It is important to keep our ancestors original beliefs alive it is much more powerful than any religion our ancestors were forced on.

I am the "spiritual cauldron." I'm an uninitiated outsider, but I support your freedom to live as you will. I play the 'tumbadoras'. I don't touch batá drums, and I don't set foot in 'botánicas'. Back in the day, I went to Sunday night rumbas. This will sound strange coming from a white guy, but it was the Kongo "spirits" that I got along with best. They gave me strength to endure what I have gone through, along with my experiences on that intertribal Red Road, the sweats, the singing, the peyote, and what-not. And I don't need a babalawo to know that Ochosi is my Yoruba "patron saint." I grew up in the country near a creek and had that hunter's "dream power" when I was a kid and young adult, but I no longer dream like that. Use it or lose it... I did research over the years and learned that a real nganga is a living, breathing human being. That's why I state that I am the "spiritual cauldron." I wish you all the best, peace, health, and true prosperity! Take care and be well! Ah-HO! ALL my relations!

Hello Sir, I am a devout Catholic but I believe in learning about all aspects of life on this earth. I believe we live in a material world overlaid by a spiritual world, so the two are in interaction all the time. I’ve heard negative things about Palo but I believe in getting my own information and forming my own opinions. I must say, sir, that I am impressed by your humility, truthfulness straightforwardness. I’m glad I found your channel “by accident” 😉

Believe me sir I'm a giant fan of Palo Mayombe because it is one of the most interesting and powerful religions I've ever studied on Wikipedia. But if I may ask does Palo Mayombe have that of any sympathetic magic that is similar to the dolls within my religion I'm asking not just for the education but also the entertainment I should/should've/need to admit. Thank you much so for sharing and I'm asking because I do have to do this study and an oral report for my GED instructor because she is curious about that of Palo Mayombe as well alongside the fact that it's both fun to study in general and quite thrilling. Once again thank you much so for sharing this and have a great day wise Tata

Thank you very much. I have been told that I need to be scratched in Palo by a Santero and a Babalow. My spirit did not sit right because neither would explain to me what getting “ Scatched” was, in term of why. I think it is important to know what you are doing spiritually and not just perform rituals without clear understanding of what you are invoking. I know what I feel inside and it’s been with me all of my life protecting me. Honestly, it spoke to me and told me not to trust the two because I would lose the connection, be blinded and without my gifts. Thanks so much. I just have to find a family I can trust. They were so hungry for money and too eager to sacrifice. I see so many so desperate to control they only know dark and do not embrace light. At a ceremony one of The Godfathers spoke to me briefly, and he said something I only heard a second time and it is what you said in this video, he said, “This is a very beautiful religion, way of life, and whatever you do, DO NOT EVER FORGET GOD.” They have forgotten God and boast about whose most powerful in Cuba or Mexico. My shadow sent me to you page. This is truly amazing! May you continue to bare fruits, and pave smooth paths to those who are hungry on this rocky journey, Highest Blessings💎🙏🏽💎

I'm greatful for the well described language on your faith. I myself have a strange spiritual practice where I venerate a silent Creator out of respect; and channel deities or ancestor spirits which resembles many of your experiences. It's become an intuitive mélange of old French Spiritism, older Irish Celtic pagan beliefs, and my Secwépemc First Nations spiritual practices because of my heritage. The term in Secwépemc is "t'wilk" for "spirit doctor". So with respect, I've been studying Haitian Vodou, Candomblé Jéjé, Odinani ...etc for understanding similar practices ...but channelling beings who speak to my blood instead. It helped me heal and grow. Thanks for sharing and many blessings.

Wow I truly thank you for putting that knowledge out there I made scratch in the middle 80s there was and it was extremely difficult because I am American with no Spanish background that I know of so it was hard plus lots of people and their hidden agendas and lot's of things were told and taught to me that was false information and also it's true what you said about some god father's and God mother's not teaching their god children what they're supposed to know I've been through a lot but I love the religion it's beautiful all of it I have scratch and all my kid's have scratch and I truly thank you for taking the time to explain the religion because it will be much easier for people that's not Latino and don't understand the latin and African language, and the right way to follow in this religion. And all the dos and don't you the rules of Palo in the exact way it suppose to be. I'm looking forward in seeing more of your videos.

I have been protected against harm too many times to name. My life story if told would sound like something straight out of a movie. And Palo is there to be used for good or evil like he said. But the universe's energy is neither evil or good. It just is...and it is the practitioners intent that counts. So do not blame the practice or religion Palo mayombe
