I grew up in PV. We lived on the hill for 55 years and since Day 1 it was all about landslides. And fires! Portuguese Bend is notorious for land movement. It seems like no one could ever figure out what really causes it. Every expert has a different opinion. It depends if the engineer was hired by the person who wants to build on land in the movement zone (Yeah! The land has stopped moving! It's safe to build!) or if hired by the people who want no more building (No! The land could move at any moment! You can't build here!). They've been saying it for years. Here's a good one: the ones who wanted to build in that part of RPV sued the ones who told them they couldn't because it was unsafe. And the ones who already lived there sued the city for letting them build there in the first place when their houses started cracking. You can't win! Hope everyone is ok.

Never should have allowed building in those areas, they knew it was inevitable and allowed the builds to go.

Time to SELL while you can Still get any $ for your property, lol. My home is on the bluffs of Lake Michigan. In Grand Haven Michigan. But my homes almost 100 yrs old. The original builder knew even here to build back far enough. We have still great views but our bluffs are sparsely built,occupied. Too mzny of you California youngsters built to densely n close to water or on unstable hills. SELL NOW.😅
