Guess it didn't take long for people to start doing a human only "pal" run hahaha. Interesting to see that it works well in your game, I captured a gunner and merchant in one of my games and they both bugged out, could barely see the NPC model, it was 90% transparent.

It is true that they're pretty much useless. They sometimes help you build but usually they just get stuck in the geometry. They don't even shoot their guns after you catch them. Meele only.

@@loudquitting the reason your crossbow guy did so much damage is because their punch scales off their in hand weapons single shot damage. There’s a guy called the syndicate elite with a rocket launcher and he punches like saitama from one punch man. He can 3 shot the grizzbolt boss

a full human playthrough is totally possible but requires a much more.... hands on approach. it is possible to aquire firearms very early on by purchasing from specific merchants (on the topic of merchants if you catch them you can still purchas from their supply and every time you deploy their stock of items refreshes.)

@@loudquitting sadly you can't actually make the human pals shoot their guns yet (praying for a future update.) But you the player however can use all the firepower possible. I've seen atleast 1 merchant that sells a makeshift handgun with the associated ammo as well. Also high tier weapon and armor blueprints can be gained from chests and rarely from human enemies. I aquired a rare handgun blueprint from a chest while I was lv 15 giving me acess to a high tier gun dozens of levels higher on the tech tree. Looking foward to the next upload keep it up!

Don't mess with Thicc Thighvester the Human Catcher! It's one thing for an entire camp of bandits to fall victim to individual setups of rope and boulder snare traps, but watching them forget (from shock) that they were palming a grenade while doing it, priceless! The basic Punch skill all the humans have is awful, but weirdly you can use the various skill fruits in the game to teach them Pal moves. They still aren't good, but they're better with more options than just that punch. But even then you'd hit a wall where progression is impractical because you can't operate a furnace for ingots without a Kindling Pal, but maybe beating Zoe would be doable if your humans had poison or burning skills.

@@yaseiKen that would get OP with the rocket launcher guys, the minigun guys, and eventually (around level 40 in the snow area) the laser gun guys. So i can see why they can't use the weapons, especially since that would imply unlimited ammo for them as well, and unlimited rockets would be broken. Maybe they could make it so the active ability (like lamball shield for example) could let them use their gun and then have a cooldown, that would balance it a bit.

Protip, this playthrough can absolutely work. Syndicate Elites are actually busted OP. Literally the strongest pal in the game because their punch gets the 1000x damage bonus from the rocket launcher they normally use.

Unfortunately humans don't seem very useful in this game other than to be meat shields. You start out thinking "How can I possibly kill these adorable creatures" until you discover it is the quickest way to gain exp/levels. Then it's a bloodbath.

There is a bug when you assault someone and the police shoot u, u go to the syndicate tower and when the police hit the boss they will run away and you can catch them by throwing pal sphere from behind. Technically they are humans riding pals and they do a lot of damage and can work for you. There's also the lvl40 black marketeer and merchants who sell materials and pals.

Apparently there’s a bug to be able to catch that first boss with a 100% chance. I heard if you let the cops shoot at the boss, it will be catchable. I know it’s a human/pal pair but I’d say that only bends the rule instead of breaking it.
