For those who dont mind doing some cheesing like myself, if you catch the boss pals that can be ridden and then make a saddle for them you can butcher them over and over again by holding f to ride them as soon as you start the butcher. i got the legendary AR in like 3 mins using this method. steps: 1. place boss pal in party (with saddle) 2. throw out pal 3. butcher pal and as soon as the animation starts hold f to ride 4. let drops fall 5. get off pal and return to sphere 6. repeat steps 2-5

If you guys want another tip, do the level 45 dungeons in the snowy mountains, they can give +2 undershirts that give 3 cold/heat resistance. I currently use heat armor with a lvl 1 flame resistance undershirt (+1 heat resistance) and a level 2 cold resistance undershirt (+3 cold resistance). It lets me go in any temperature, hot or cold. I recommend using this set for necromus and paladius cuz night=cold and day=heat. You would have to constantly keep switching the armor in the fight so its better to be immune to all temperatures.

A small tip for players who are too lazy to change armour when they travel to different temperature biomes, the undershirt accessory that boost heat/cold resistance can be stacked, so you can just wear the heat resistance armour and wear 2 cold resistant accessory, then you'll get both lvl2 cold and heat resist. Its also useful for lvl 48 players that can only craft heat resistance pal armour but want to travel to cold areas. You can buy both undershirt from the merchant in duneshelter at the north east desert area

Also, a high risk/high reward way to fight the Legendaries is freeze the Legendary pal then use a rocket(maybe any explosive?) while frozen to launch the pal into the air and then they fall down and die to fall damage. If you are lucky the Pal will launch straight up and come back down, but if it launches away from you…… well….. it will probably die from hitting a mountain or something. lol

Grinding for legendary cloth armor and then farming for the mats to make it just for a worse armor is very much a pointless endeavor. Maybe if it was slightly better than the metal armor, sure, but it literally is worse than basic metal armor, making it just a time and resource sink for people to fall into XD

ANY weapon that can drop as a schematic has a tier 4[legendary] version. I wish KZbinrs and Game journos, and let's face it, at this point they are the same thing, would do proper research, play the games they cover and actually spread REAL information, not lies. I have, the old bow, triple bow, crossbow, musket, shotgun, handgun, assault rifle, and rocket launcher, all tier 4. That alone is 8, and I'm still missing a couple "Confirmed by steamers" drops.

The respawn time, is not every couple days, it's literally every in game day. At the bottom of your screen, theres an Icon, when its Day, its a sun, when its Night, its a moon. So when you kill an Alpha in the overworld, it respawns when that Sun icon appears again. Plain and simple. (Note, you can even kill it at night, close to dawn, and sit there, wait for it to tick over, and watch them spawn)

You can also approach while it's night time. Paladius, as a non-Dark type Pal, should sleep during the night. Meaning you can take some time knocking Necromus out and you don't have to deal with 2 of them at once. Of course, it being in the desert you'll want both Heat and Cold resistant gear to handle the temperatures.

i;ve noticed a lot of guides like this seem to ginore something so ill mention it. i forget which boss it was, as i was on a bit of a murder spree taking them out one after another, but i got a legendary schematic of the pelt armor. there ARE other legendary equipment schematics out there available, you don;t need to wait till literal max level to try for legendary armor... though to be fair other armors might still win out in stats, but still, a thing to take note of.

There is a mod to change drop rates to 100% so you have to kill each boss once and get stronger and move on to the next. As a person with limited game time, it helped me a ton.

totally dig the custom settings for your world. until they drop official servers, im just gonna casual it when it comes to QoL. no drop on death rly helps with the ores. why struggle, mind to your hearts content and respawn to your base with a drop box next to it. everything else ill play normal mode but giving myself the ease to do so makes it so much more enjoyable

I removed egg timers, increased drops, and lowered stamina. There's no reason to make combat easier, but lowering the grind helps a ton and mount stamina is just a comfy setting. I also like games that let you keep items on death because it's more an annoyance than anything.

Tip for one shotting jetragon. Take frostallion, let it freeze jetragon, fire the rocket launcher at the exposed part of the boss. Jetragon will be launched into the air like team rocket and die from fall damage.

I mean, if you really want to cheese getting the legendary blueprints easily, turn up the day/night cycle, turn up the spawn rate, turn down the damage to player to practically nothing, turn up damage from player to max, and go farm the bosses with guns. Do that just long enough to get the blueprints and then return to normal game settings once you've got them.

it's worth mentioning that *purple and red chests can give blueprints.* Most of the time those will be green or blue. But they can be purple or yellow. I think dungeon boss chests are special, with a higher chance. I seem to get blueprints way more frequently from them vs wandering around, though your rate of chests my be higher wandering. *For comparison, purple refined armor beats stock pal metal armor by a nice little bit. Green tier fails to compare to stock of the next tier.* I don't know how the blue levels compare. As he stated, the higher tier guns get larger clips as well as higher damage. I keep the crossbow, because it is good for knocking that final bit of health off a boss to capture and far less prone to accidental crit than the pump shotgun.

If you have it on 2 or 3x. Go to these bosses at night. All but dark ones will be asleep. Then you can just pull one at a time. I started farming the big wholly mammoths at like lvl 18. I just go climb the cliff to the left, when you are coming down the path. Each time your pal is in danger, call in a new one. Keep switching them and none will die.. or, make a base and drag them there. You can have like 13 attackers or you can do the 4 Daerk things and have 5 more out at 1x.

So it does actually matter catching vs killing if you are going for legendary schematics, catching them gets you one chance at the roll and using the butchers knife to kill the alpha pal after it's caught will net you another roll, combine that with the triple spawns and you get a potential 6 rolls for the legendary per respawn. Though it's worth noting with ammo being so tedious to craft, that the single shot rifle is still higher damage per bullet than all the legendary schematics with the exception of the rocket launcher. Which is probably why there doesn't seem to be higher quality schematics for it, that thing is a beast.

Pretty sure increasing the number of enemies makes no difference. Every time I've gotten a legendary schematic when using the 3x enemies, I get 3 schematics at the exact same time which suggests that what is dropped from an enemy is shared per singular enemy group across all 3 that spawned from the setting adjustment.

if you catch them and butcher them you have double drop. also : mount frostalion and rocket jetdragon or mount any dark attack bonus on player and rocket paladius. put most of your stats on attack because anyway armors give health.

Tip for jetragon on how to get him Wait for night time and do the pal appearance to 3 then get a few legendary spheres and at night when they are sleeping throw the sphere at their back for the boost if your lucky you will get them and if you die they they will go back to sleep😊

If you want an Easier time with Paladius and Necromus, go at night, one sleeps one doesn’t. Bring a Palbox if possible, place it just outside the boss area, lure a boss over and jump him.

One downside of the legendary weapons is that they now take spark plugs to repair. I used a green handgun for a while and between the fire rate and magazine size it ran through durability quite fast, so the spark plugs really added up. Happily switched to a regular single shot rifle after that so I wouldn't have to keep throwing spark plugs at the pistol XD

Big tip. Making more bosses spawn at once does not increase the chances of dropping the schematic. This is because it’s multiplying the boss but not changing the drops. However if one of em drops one they will all drop a legendary schematic. With this info due what you will.

No sooner do I find an up grade for my gear and grind the mats, only to find a replacement very soon after. Lol The mats go up as the rarity goes up 4 to 5 times the mats for the high end gear. If you get the epic handgun it's just as deadly as the legendary and the ammo count goes up 14 rounds with the epic, only 12 rounds with the standard handgun. Edit: Chests, farm the wildlife places, there are four, before you are buff enough to take on the end bosses, on average 12 chests per place...........bring keys, it helps.

I only have the metal armor and the pelt armor legendary schematics. I grind this game 8-10 hrs a day. I have the purple schematics for pistol, shotgun and rifle and a blue for rocket launcher. They are significant upgrades themselves. I beat Jetragon, Paladius and Necromus by shooting rockets. With a custom game, you can farm and place boxes next to areas that have a ton of resources. Use the grappling gun to pull you from node to node and then die from a wild pal/s. Respawn with nothing dropped and your back at base. Easy peasy. I didn’t change my game to custom until I reached lvl 50 and had beaten all the pals tho. Now I’m just breeding pals and fighting the high tiers hoping for legendary schematics. I’ll feel like I completed the game when I have all the legendaries. 😂

The spawn multiplier, doesn't change the drop you recieve or increase your drop rate percentage it will simply give you extra items for example, when I defeated a boss and acquired a legendary schematic, I received 3 legendary schematics of the exact same weapon. None of this makes it easier, your just giving the locations. The spawn rate is still less than 1%.

Actually, weaker armor parts have legendary schematics as well. At the very least I got the Metal Helm Schematic from the Mossanda Lux, or the Wumpo Botan boss. I did those 2 in relatively fast succession, considering they were yeeted everywhere by my pals, the Mossanda Lux was even reset once because of this...

Gotten multiple legendary schematic for many types of gears from purple chests in the open world, also i am on base rates for drops and find them more often from chests than bosses

I got a legendary rifle and a legendary coat for cold areas opening chest, it is usually the ones that require keys so good luck on the hunt. The legendary cloth armor I found it near the starting zone and the rifle I found it somewhere on the mountains on the cold side.

Got a green shotgun early and it just melts everything not my level or higher. Insane how good it is. 🤷‍♂️ Legendary probably even more insane. I prefer it over the AR all day. Saves ammo too lol

I got lucky with my fist play through and got a legendary rocket launcher schematic from a level 45 dungeon. The save file got corrupted like a day after I crafted it, so I sadly didn't get much time to play with my new toy.

Based on the numerical value, I think the legendary handgun is a steel for anyone under level 40. Each round hits harder then the legendary assault rifle and it's in a stage of the game where sulfur (For gunpowder ) Is not the most common resource node available So it gives you the best bang for your shots. Me however, I loved using the crossbow until level 45

i got the bow schematic on my first kill. and had no idea where it came from (i know it s my first kill because i only have 1 Kingpaca.) So i just came here to findout where they come from :D Someone has mentioned you can also find them in chests so im now not 100% if i did get it on the first kill :D

I think there is also a chance for them to drop from chests as I found the legendary pistol schematic and I didn't fight any bosses I was in the farest cold land just getting chests as I traveled opened the map either that or the sanctuary 3 chests

Is there a legendary schematic for the regular Pal Metal Armor? I have both temp resistance undershirts at +2 (max temparature resistance), and I greatly prefer the aesthetics of the standard armor over the hot/cold variants. Edit: Also of note, I've found legendary schematics for both the heat/cold resistance versions of the refined matal armor by opening red locked chests in the lv45 frozen area.
