Initially seeking help for a family member through the Helpline, Pam attended the Family-to-Family class, where she discovered she was not alone in her struggles. Empowered with knowledge, Pam not only helped her loved one but became NAMI-NYC's Senior Education Specialist, teaching and supporting hundreds of families. Her work has been life-changing for the community, as she has created a network of support and recovery. This video underscores how family support and education can make a tremendous impact on those affected by mental health challenges.
Guided by lived experience and evidence-based practices, NAMI-NYC helps families and individuals affected by mental illness build better lives through education, support, and advocacy. All programs and services are free of charge. To learn more, visit www.naminyc.org, and you can call, chat, or email our Helpline at 212-684-3264 or helpline@naminyc.org.
