Pam Tillis literally lives 5 minutes from me in McIntosh FL. She has three huge houses on her property which are visible from the road. I have ran into her several times at the local McDonald's that's caddy corner from her property. She's just like everyone else in this small country town about 20 minutes outside of Tampa. Very very nice and always willing to talk. If you didn't know her you would never in a million years guess that she is a country music star. Down to earth and joke's around with you.

Today I turn 34... my momma has played this song for me since I was in my early 20’s, and I used to think about how far away 34 was... now it’s here and I’m convinced that all the good ones really are gone. 🥂 Here’s to all my fellow single ladies who “held out a little bit too long” because they know their worth and refuse to settle for a love that’s anything less than what they deserve. Asé Ooo to all the women learning to love themselves instead of playing pretend with a nan who ain’t worthy of them. 💜

I remember when this first came out, I always enjoyed it, but never grasped the trueness of it. Being so far from her 34 at the time, the possibility of the whole thing never seemed more than just what it is, just lyrics to another sad song. But hearing it all these years later, being a few years past that 34 wondering, Are all the good gone? Did I hold out just a little bit to long? Those lyrics hit a bit harder than I could’ve ever imagined. It’s amazing what you can hear in a song, when you stop just listening to it, and finally start hearing it..

If you're looking for a good one, go somewhere where they don't serve margaritas. There's no guarantee of course, but it will increase your chances.

When I was a teenager I listened to this song a lot I never had a boyfriend in high school and my worst fear was that I’d still be single at 34 and think I’ll the good ones were gone I wish I could go back and tell my teenage self not to worry that I’d be happily married two years by age 30 turns out all the good ones weren’t gone I got me a really good one

I’ve listened to this song since I was a little girl….now I am turning 34 and feel it sooo deeply. I love the emotion conveyed in this song. I am so blessed to be carrrying on my 34th birthday with 2 of my dearest friends who flew hours (both had itineraries of 24+ hours) to spend my birthday with me!

As teenager i had six pin-up women/girls; Pam Tillis was one. (Other 5; Winona Ryder, Cheryl Ladd, Sally Ride Sigourney Weaver and Valentina Teresh). I love women that can be a woman and be strong willed at same time without tearing down every man around them (shrink says like my mother😂). I pray my mother raised me to be one of the good men.

Awww, it’s been slightly over a year since this video was uploaded and it’s only got about 10k views?,,, As a teenager back in the 90’s I really thought Pam Tillis had a good voice, and I still do, and I expected more clicks on her page than this... Came here to say Hi, I remember you and your songs.

I was in a similar position 30 years ago. I was a single male in my late 20’s. It was my Dad who sat across from me at a restaurant and lamented how I should find someone to meet. I literally said, “Dad. It’s not that easy.” Not long after, I married someone whom I had been chasing for 6 years. Still very happily married, but didn’t think it would happen (with her) when my Dad and I ate together. 😊

She'll turn thirty-four this weekend She'll go out with her girlfriends They'll drink some margaritas Cut up and carry on There'll be guys and there'll be come ons She'll probably get hit on But she thinks all the good ones are gone She's got friends down at the office And she can't help but notice That when the day is over How they all hurry home Everday there's guys she works with And even some she flirts with But is seems like all the good ones are gone Her mama called this mornin' Said I'm worried about my baby I wish you had a family of your own She said mom it's not that easy You make it sound so simple But you can't take the first man that comes along Once she had someone who loved her Back when she was younger Now she wonders if she held out A little bit too long Back then there were so many Now there just aren't any It seems like all the good ones are gone Chours She'll Turn thirty-four this weekend She'll go out with her girlfriends They'll drink some margaritas, Cut up and carry on

As much as what I love this song, you don’t need to have a spouse or kids in order to be truly happy and fulfilled. Surround yourself by like-minded people who truly care for you and you will be fine.
