"Come to bed and close your eyes. Now it's time to say goodnight, So that you may dream of lands, great lands, beyond our own. Faun will come to take you there, Fairies fly and touch your hair. Joyfully they sing their songs of your return back home. Dream, Dream that one day You'll find your way Back home. Then you will be, Right here with me, Back home. Sleep, sleep, and dream." ❤

The best movie you never wanna see again...
@playypretendd46903 жыл бұрын
You are absouletly right. For the first time I watched this movie in 2009 and I loved it though it scared me a bit. All those years even if I liked the movie very much I never wanted to watch it again because it has got so much sadness that I thought I couldn't bear it again. Well I watched it again today and I was right, it is very sad and dont wanna watch this again at least in 5 years. lol

@@PhoenixLucido I think it depends. One interpretation of the film is that the fantasy is all in her head. That the way we cope in this cruel world is with the magic of the stories we tell ourselves. In this sense, it is a happy ending as she managed to survive and escape the cruelty of her situation into her fantasy to the blissful oblivion of death.

I've seen it four times. The first time I was with my dad, so I didn't want to cry at the end. The second time I was with friends, so I didn't want to cry then either. The third time, I was on my own and cried for almost as long as the runtime of the movie!

The child in me who survived trauma, relates to finding solace in the arms of death, once upon a time. This is her waltz with psychological death. Agonizing, yet so beautiful.

As a child thanks to my father who used to tell me wonderful stories full of magic, I could see and hear the elves, the fairies, and all the magical creatures that were around me. Today I am 47 years old, with a cell phone in my hand, the rush of us men of 2020 and so many worries. What I can see today is just a flying bird or a fly that bothers me, everything else has disappeared from my mind, as dead as the fantasy in The NeverEnding Story

Magnificent comment! Reading this types of comments make me feel humanity has a good reason to be on Earth still. That, what you wrote about your father, is poetry. My dad also used to tell me stories... he said "Say a word, and I´ll tell you an story based on that word".

#literasidigital

Lamento mucho tu perdida...

Anabel, I am so sorry you lost your little baby. I am sure he is waiting for you in Heaven. My mother lost her baby who would have been my little brother when I was 5 years old and I saw him in my dream after many years have passed. He asked me if I am happy here in this world. I told I don’t know and in return I asked him if he is happy where he is, and he told me he is. I believe we are spiritual beings and our souls are eternal and each of us have karmic connections to people who are special to us in this life and beyond.

This music is making me very sad as it reminds me of my mother whom I have lost last August. I remember her singing lullaby to me when I couldn’t sleep as a child, a different lullaby.
