I would rather watch the couple with the lady in silver leggings. I don't know if she's a pro, probably, but she was much more fluent. By the way, they only film pros, of course you will film them, but it would be interesting too if you shooted also "common people" who may not dance perfectly, though with pure joy and passion.

It’s not destroying salsa, but I get it on being a bit much or even too much. All the hands moves looks like the old karate movies 😂 Also, I get it about being bored with the usual. That’s ok. A lot of these videos are still pros, more often than not, having fun with each other. They may be bored, but that don’t mean us non-pros are boring or lacking in SABOR! Just look at old folk who have just as much, and maybe more fun, but not doing 2200 patterns.

I was having this conversation the other day with my friend’s dad. He’s in his 60s and was mentioning how social dance now a days (he wasn’t sure if a lot of it was social media driven) seems more like a performance than an actual social dance. He grew up in NYC and used to go to salsa clubs as a young Puerto Rican Guy. He said the vibe is definitely different. Also that to him he saw more people gravitating towards the flasher LA style vs NY style of salsa as well. I mean he said at least everyone is having fun.
