Interesting that I hadn't seen this vid until today. Loved it and it brought up some emotions from the past... Back in the Spring of 1986 I was sent on a 30 Day TDY with an ALCE Group put of Dover. Spent nights on duty and days on the beach out of Ft. Walton Beach. Was a ton of fun watching FB-111s take off with the afterburners lit during the middle of the night. In 2010 I was sent by my then employer to Hurlburt to look at the bullet traps on their rifle ranges. During this time we visited the USAF Armament Museum, which is just outside of Eglin AFB's Main Gate. Displayed is "The First Lady", the AC-130 which took my father on 125 Missions over the Ho Chi Minh Trail from 1969-1970. He was an Aerial Photographer documenting the flights of the AC-130. It was a joy to touch her and thank her for bringing my father back home in safety. For some reason your pre vid, showing you in your beautiful home doing your flight plan, reminded me that my wife and I are heading to Indy in November for Bands Of America Grand Nationals marching band competition, of which our 5th child will be competing in for her high school, here in good old American Fork, UT. Our other 4 children have also competed. This will be our 5 competition in Indy. This will be at Lucas Oil Stadium. Should be cold, yet fun. Again, thanks for the great video and be safe!

Your videos are among the best on the internet. Just watching the mechanics and phases of flight is a treat. Your new equipment from GoPro has helped, but to capture brilliant colors seems to still require the right angle, lighting and exposure, which needs luck and experimentation. Maybe trying various filters to cancel your window tint and reflections could bring good results. If you haven’t already tried that. If the general public could and would watch your work, GA would have no problem whatever on into the future. Keep them coming.

I have two significant connections - We did our 2 weeks active duty in Panama City with the Mass Air Guard at Tyndall with our F-106's for several years and a couple of William Tells. Also, we now live in Slidell and you flew right over our neighborhood when you were making your descent (time stamp 53:42). Hope you enjoyed your lunch. Louisiana has the best food in the world!!

Love your videos. The new camera setup on the left hand yoke is good, but can you have it pointing more to the left to get all of the PFD in the frame, ie, showing the airspeed strip etc. Also, during startup and shutdown, can you talk through what you are doing and when running the checklists? I see you're ex-USAF... I'm currently serving my 39th year with the Australian Navy. Cheers....

HI P1D, THanks for new vids, I had an involuntary separation, so have to catch up, I see some wider angle 'lenses' on cameras, noted some folks said they lost HD, I get it on my I pad. SOmewhile back I asked about your windscreen, you said electric, that explains the 'lines' on them.Next time you are in the frozen food section of supermarket, look at the door, you should see a thin horizon line, there is one on bottom, there is in the glass a thin coating, there is 120 volts ac 60hz potential, if someone were to push a cart into it when door is open it may break, but will NOT shock any due to safety circuit.. Blue skies & tailwinds !
