Greetings from the UK. I bought this lens after watching this video (August 2019). One month of using it and I'm loving it on my G80/85. Thank you for helping me to decide.

I've been debating on getting this lens for a while. I have the G7 with the kit 14-42 f/3.5-5.6 and the 25mm f/1.7 which have proven to be really good lenses. I'm thinking on getting the 45-150 to complete the kit and have a good range of focal distances covered. I also thought about 14-140 but on B&H it's around $700 (US) vs the 45-150 at $150 (US) on sale.

Nice! I quite liked the image through-out it's range! The typical slower zoom, but surely fast enough for spring / summer, and brighter autumn / winter days (even here in Finland). For vacation, i think this would be quite sweet aswell. Affordable, light-weight, with good build and nice image. Oh yeah, i'm getting it! Thanks for the sample footage and thoughts. Nicely done!

I'm thinking of switching my 25mm f/1.7 prime out for this 45-150mm. I have to say that while the 25mm f/1.7 is a decent lens, it's lack of OIS and depth of field at that focal length is not really doing it for me. I just bought the 42.5mm f/1.7 to address those concerns, and now I'm feeling that owning the 25mm lens is redundant when I have the 14-42mm kit lens. Maybe time for this!

I do own this lens and i´m happy with it. It is lightweight, fast and sharp and you can get it relativally cheap. And yes it works with Dual IS. If you get closer to your subject on 150mm..the Bokeh starts to be "swirly". This i have never seen before on modern lenses. Maybe it is only my copy of it...so anyway. Thanks for the video :-)

Hi, great video. It's my first time watching one of your reviews. If I may say so in a friendly way, I find the music to be a bit loud compared with your voice, so I find myself having to adjust volume between both. I turn up to hear what you have to say, turn down not to disturb others with music. Again, I think your video was great, I'm just giving friendly feedback. And BTW, your review is the deciding factor in me going out to purchase this lens later today. :-) Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the review, love the video footage!. I am familiar with the Panasonic Lumix GH2/GH3 & GH4. In regards to auto-focus settings while filming, the GH2/GH3 have other settings for auto-focus. These include Continuous Auto-Focus AFC, Auto-Focus Flexible AFF etc. (these settings include what's in the menu system and the actual mechanical selectable switch which allows you to choose AFF, AFS and Manual focus.) I am no familiar with the G85 at all. Out of curiosity, does it have any of these settings and what did you have them on for the video footage in this review ? Thankyou !

I liked your video. @3:19 i think the handrail and shed are in focus and the boat is bokeh'ed out well for a lens of this price. But one small question. If an adult was standing there at that grill point or where the placard says "reel lines in" will he fit fully head to toe in the frame, thereby keeping him in focus and the background blurred, even if it means lowering the camera on the tripod to reframe and accommodate him.

Hi...lovely video on this lens. Question: I also own the G85 and 12-60 kitlens. I also have 45 1.8 and 25 1.7. So I plan to extense this set with a zoomlens. I about the 100-300mm, but am afraid I won’t use that range too often. The G85 has ex telecoverter and I am really pleased with the results I got with the 12-60 in a test. So the 45-150should cover 90-300 mm is it? The 4 x zoom is not practical. What is your opinon on this? And...I also own an ‘old’ but very good Zuiko 50-200 non SWD tele, but is rather slow with adapter and pretty heavy too. So I might consider the 45-150 or maybe 14-140! Thanks in advance...and I am a photographer not a videographer!
