I liked your installation guide of the Alakaine water Panasonic thanks a lot I too have the leaking issue

Thanks. I got it to mostly stop by tightening it more after a few days. But it always leaked a bit. :-P

I was once a clueless dad, now I have 3 monsters. If you want to keep that drain hose out of the way, you can try cutting it down and sticking it into one of those 4 vertical slats on the back of the sink, under the faucet. Those are overflow slots in case the main drain in the bottom gets plugged/closed. It goes straight down the drain. It would tidy up your install. You could also trim the input tube for less clutter. Sorry, I'm a little OCD about stuff like that. Thanks for the video. The Panasonic units are probably the cheapest ionizers available.
@CluelessDad7 жыл бұрын
That's a good tip! I didn't want to cut it short because we may move somewhere else in a year or two so I may need more hose, but that said, I almost definitely don't need that much... and I can probably snake a lot of it down the overflow drain.

A bit of difference in tastes but not much. Been using it for many years now. Good for people who have high uric acid in the body, which cause high blood pressure, gout, cancer, etc. Good for pets especially good at getting rid of urine infections that cats always have. If you buy vegetables, it is best to use this water to get rid of pesticides residue on the vegetables. No need to buy Kangen. If you want to make water taste nice, put an extra water filter (e.g carbon, etc) before the device.
@charleschoo93984 жыл бұрын
Yup, and one more thing Kangen was overpriced
@jamesboon65136 жыл бұрын
Do check for electrical leakage from time to time. Have stopped using it...
@josepe19863 жыл бұрын
You need to turn off tap when changing between unfiltered and filtered otherwise you will damage the faucet attachment easily
@CluelessDad3 жыл бұрын
I dunno.... been using it for almost 5 years so far, still on the first attachment. Maybe if your water pressure is really high, but if that's the case, its probably too strong for the filter too.

Where can I buy this stuff?
@CluelessDad7 жыл бұрын
Where are you located? I got this at Sogo in Hong Kong. But probably any authorized Panasonic home appliance distributor in Asia will sell it.
@CluelessDad7 жыл бұрын
If you live outside Asia you can get a different model from Japan through Amazon - www.amazon.com/Panasonic-Alkaline-Purifier-Apparatus-TK-AS44/dp/B00SOCZ074

I live in Cambodia. Most machines selling here are too expensive. So I need one from eBay or Amazon. But some series are not available one eBay or Allibaba.

Does this really work ? Increasing the ph?
@CluelessDad7 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried the PH test strips to definitively measure it, as I just use it for the filtered water, but my wife does use the acidic water function when she washes her face. Apparently that part works (there's an effect on the soap lather).

Does it have a replaceable filter?Thanks
@CluelessDad5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Sorry I didn't include that explicitly in the video. The back panel snaps open and you can remove and replace the filter. You're supposed to remove it if the machine is left unused for more than a week (if you go on vacation, etc).

Hello. When u use all the settings from 9.5pH all the way down to 5.5pH. Are the water coming out from the drain hose acidic? What pH do the waste water produce? I’m curios & could u just do a test & reply thru the comments section? Appreciate it.

Hi, the manual may say something like not getting water splashed on the unit, so I am worried with placing this so near the sink. Any advice on this? Thanks.
@CluelessDad7 жыл бұрын
I think you mean this part, right? "Avoid bringing the main unit into contact with water by spraying it with water or washing. Otherwise, power leaks, electric shocks and/or trouble may result." I think they mean like running it under sink when washing, etc. Ours definitely gets splashes and spray when we're washing dishes, etc but its just on the front surface, seems to be fine. I think given the length of the output spout, you can't help but get some water on it no matter what, but as long as its not excessive (like immersion, water getting inside of it, etc), it should be OK.

Is it necessary to wait for the beeps
@CluelessDad7 жыл бұрын
Good question! I think its likely that its just flushing out the previous water from the last time you used it. So if you used the same kind of water the previous time you used it, its probably OK.... But if the last time it was used was for acidic water and you're filling up your glass to give water to a small kid, definitely wait til the beeping stops and its fully dispensing the desired type. :-P
@ashleyng63567 жыл бұрын
can you mute the beeping??
@CluelessDad7 жыл бұрын
Apparently you can for the 'acidic buzzer' (the default safety function is to have it beep continuously when you are using it for acidic water, to remind you not to drink it). According to the manual if you hold down the acidic button for 3 seconds it will disable the buzzer. (but I think only for that use. if you turn it on and off, it starts beeping again). It doesn't have a way to stop it from beeping in general for like when the regular purified or alkaline water modes. I think this is because its the only way to make it clear that water coming out of the spout is ready to drink. Just going from blinking to solid lights is maybe not clear enough.
@fordharrison26495 жыл бұрын
Can I drink directly without boiling ?
@CluelessDad5 жыл бұрын
According to the instructions you should only use it with water that is already approved for human consumption. It says it doesn't remove other substances than the ones on the label and it doesn't sterilize the water. (so basically - if you need to boil water in your area to drink it, you still need to do that even w/ this device...)
