Way to go Mark!! You're doing a great job and love the character and sense of humour!!! Could you perhaps do a comparison between the g7 and g9 at some point? Subscribed!🍻💪😎

Thanks!! I don’t have a g9, but I have a G7 and gh5. I will be doing a lot of Panasonic vids hopefully soon - especially if the Gh6 comes out - lots of comparisons to do!!

I have the G7 with the kit lens and the 25mm 1.7 - I dont know If it´s worth it upgrade to full frame (either the s5 or the A7C). I need a hybrid camera with IBIS and good AF. What do you think?
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis3 жыл бұрын
The S5 is an amazing value and is on sale right now in North America at least, but it’s autofocus is not perfect. It’s IBIS is good too. The A7C IBIS is terrible, but you can use catalyst browse (I have video on that) and the autofocus is perfect. but I think the best camera for you is the Olympus EM1 Mark III (or even the Mark II). That camera has great autofocus and the best stabilization in the game. it’s still micro 4/3 so you’ll be able to use your Panasonic lenses
@AlbertoFigueroaArquitectura3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the recommendation! I barely have m43 lenses so i don't mind switching to different system. I would move to FF for the low light though. 🤓
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis3 жыл бұрын
@@AlbertoFigueroaArquitectura Then maybe the canon R6 for autofocus and stability, The A7C has poor stability unless you use that catalyst browse.

How about the G80/85 instead? Has IBS, no recording limit, and can be found at a very good price 🙂
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis2 жыл бұрын
yes - absolutely. usually you can find the g7 cheaper, but the g85 is definitely a better buy if you can get a good price.

compare to canon M50 which is better?
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on your needs. The Canon will have excellent autofocus in 1080p. It does 4k - but it crops in a lot and the focus becomes unreliable in 4k. The APS-C size will enable you to get a shallower depth of field on something like a 50mm f1.8 compared to the Panasonic's 50mm F1.7 as well. But the Panasonic will have a better lens selection, and you can use those lenses on any camera that has a micro 4/3 mount, like the GH5 or The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K. The Panasonic G7 also has an easy to navigate menu and good video features like zebras built in. If you're planning to manual focus in 4K - I would do the Panasonic. If you plan to shoot in 1080 - get the canon because you'll have great autofocus. Both cameras can give you great results, you just have to know their limitations. The Panasonic can really train you to get a lot out of your camera, but having autofocus that works is a huge deal, especially if you'll be shooting yourself.
