I tried so hard to clear everything out, totally missed the handset rooms! O well, it was hilarious. The story with the GRAY room is that when we first moved to the house, there were several rooms upstairs that had no differentiating identifying information other than carpet color. One had a gray carpet, one was blue, and one was pink. The names "gray room" and "blue room" just stuck since then. "Xysroom" was the studio.

They got replaced with the 9341T, which I was looking for way more. I'll miss that rendition of Jingle Bells it has though.
@JordanU4 жыл бұрын
I really don't care for the Jingle Bells on here, and all the other Panasonics for that matter. It just strikes me as rather shrill and annoying.

Caller ID is active from internet provider. For KX-TGC360 I am unable to set the Caller ID using the manual. How do I perform a "hard reset" so that KX-TGC360 returns to factory settings?
@JordanU2 жыл бұрын
I don't know if it even has such a function.

@@JordanU I was studying the PDF for Panasonic Model KX-TGC360. Caller ID on Panasonic Model KX-TGC360 stopped working a day ago. a) Caller ID is enabled by ISP. (Contacted Tech Support) b) On page 18 of PDF it shows Menu #226 to select either 1. 2. Manual ----------------------- 1. ISP is sending a new modem, since that may be the root cause. Right now it is only showing "Incoming Call". 2. Before it arrives, I wanted to perform hard reset on KX-TGC360 to see if that will make Caller ID work again. 3. Read online (for KX-TGC360), to perform hard reset, 1) Unplug 2) Remove Batteries for 2 minutes. This did not cause a "hard reset" to occur. Other models of Panasonic can enable hard reset through numeric keys. Maybe not this one. Thanks

I looked at the manual for both this model and the KX-TGC220, and neither have Talking Caller ID, so there is actually a difference between KX-TGC and KX-TGD models other than the design. Also like the 607x, the base has a piece that fits into a hole above the speaker (or a hole on the battery cover on the 607x). Pretty unnecessary on both models since the charge contact piece holds the handset in place. When you were showing the model, the serial number tag showed a model number ending in SK, which is this set's actual model. That means if this was store-bought originally, it was bought at Costco as that's the only store the SK-suffix models are sold at. What was that feedback during the outside call on handset 1? Some models went the opposite way when it came to wall mounting--yes base, not charger. The KX-TGH26x is the same way as this model, but is a high-end model with Bluetooth and a color display. The handset name can be set to show in standby. It appears that only Gray Room (handset 2) had that feature turned on. After pressing SAVE in the handset name setting, you can choose Yes or No. This is a 6.0 Plus. All 2010 and later models are. No one has been advertising DECT 6.0 on the phones themselves recently, but they indeed are (6.0 Plus in Panasonic's case). The frequency of the classic tone on the handsets (for models that have it) is the same as the base ringer, and it's slightly off from the true classic from the 5.8s. Tone 1 and 2 will follow the ring signal and the other tones won't, so it makes sense for those ones to return to simpler tones than the others.

Great video of the set of the Panasonic KX-TGC360B DECT 6 Plus Cordless Telephone trio with the Speakerphone & the digitan answering machine the Jordan! I have to say, this is a very neat model. Too bad the newer voice was on this system's answering machine.

Thanks, Aaron! That is a shame about the voice; I prefer the older one.

I'm really interested in finding out what your whole-house REN is. I'm going to say 20ish since newer phones don't really have a high REN.
@JordanU4 жыл бұрын
The amplifier I have puts out 12 REN. 2500s and 2554s are generally 1 REN, most anything cordless is 0.1 REN, and a lot of newer corded phones are 0.5 REN or less. With the current setup I'd estimate it's somewhere around 8.

Hey Jordan, I really like these videos. I would be very interested to know, how do you do all the testing with the testing lines? I assume you use different numbers, as it’s not your outgoing phone line when you dial the number. I’d be very interested to know how this is all done, as I would really love to have a setup like that. Is there anywhere that I could look, any tips that you could give, or any pricing info?
@techwithtyler203 жыл бұрын
He uses a Ring-It simulator, which connects to a switcher and the testing phones. The switcher is connected to the phone being tested, the simulator, and the outside line. Dialing a number into the simulator will ring the other phone, displaying that number as caller ID. Simulators are pretty expensive, around $200.
