Great video of the AT&T 1856 Corded the Speakerphone with the infamous Digitan Answering Machine which has the Older AMPV, the Jordan! O! Yeah. Not to forget that I also have that same telephone. I need to try to get back to the Phones Cabinet to make sure that I should record some more the videos. It's been a the while.

It would indeed have come out during the early-to-mid 5.8 GHz era. That handset only dates back to the early 00s; it was a vtech creation. The models 1818 (which you have) and 1855 also use this operating/answering system and should be comparable in terms of quality and performance.

The first date it starts with when you set the clock is Jan 1, 2000. I know because my mom's ancient phone finally broke beyond repair and this was the one she'd bought on impulse back then and of course I had to set it up for her. I did transfer the long cord from the old phone because that cord is much too short

I'm a bit surprised if this is a Vtech unit, it reminds me a lot of the AT&T 962 I used to have, down to some of the rings and noises it made, and that was still very late in the Lucent divestiture era. That, imho, was peak AT&T, and this phone is an excellent specimen of same.

In the CID log, "All Calls" is where the log records all the calls it receives, and "No Calls" is where it doesn't record any (if you have another caller ID phone and don't want to keep pressing the review buttons on this one too). Most late AT&T Inc. phones have that feature. Nice reactions to the difficult operating system on this phone! I suppose AT&T was notorious for that in the past. Other than that, this seems to be a pretty nice phone. What price do you think would be good to pay for this, please?
