Thanks for the kind comment! Today there are better options but it really depends on what your needs are. If you want a camera on a budget you could go for a Sony a6400. If budget isn’t a problem I’d suggest a Sony a7S3 👍

Hey, not trying to be nit picky, but why was your shutter at 1/60 and not 1/50? Just wondering if there was a reason.

Valid question! My KZbin subscriber count in the background gives rolling lines if the shutter is set to 1/50. Setting the shutter to 1/60 fixes the problem 👍

Please show some love to the AF100 you have in the background. Make a video talking how it looks like in 2020. I know it's very old camera and image quality is not that great but it's really inexpensive so a lot of people might be interested in picking one up. I own one myself but I'm going to sell it soon to make the room for Fuji X-H1.

Thanks for the comment and request! I'll see what I can do. Unfortunately my AF100 doesn't always turn on due to the internal battery draining, so the camera is pretty much retired and lives as a set piece. If I plug the camera into the wall and charge it for a few hours it does turn on, but then if you turn it off and on again it won't turn on!

So it is not 4k 200mbps? Have you loaded with th software for V-Log L ?

Gh4 is still a really good camera and these tests show that it is still very usuable. I think the lower the iso the better with these cameras. Usually iso 200, 320, 400 is are all pretty clean. I have the panasonic g85 and I don't mind going to 1600 and if i have to 3200. 6400 changes color and gets to soft because of the noise redution so i tend not to go above 3200.

Thanks for the feedback! Earlier this year I was planning on having a video podcast studio set up with 3 GH4 cameras, but after using some other newer cameras I saw the massive difference in video quality. On its own the camera does do the job, but I've been spoiled and know there is better quality available and relatively affordable 👍

Hi Nsaka, you need extra hardware: a HDMI capture card. There are some software workarounds, but they give poor image quality and aren’t user friendly either.

Only beginners use AF. And no they will never be that perfect camera for anyone. Because what can be perfect for you might not be perfect for others. Pro’s take an average camera and make the image look decent almost perfect. That goes to show that is not the gear is how you work with what you have. Good video though.
