Thank you for the insanely cool video. I'm wondering whether to buy 8-18mm or 7.5mm.

Thanks. It will depend on what kind of video you want, if you need a wide lens only go for the prime 7.5mm, but you will be working on a fish eyes field, so expect a lot of distortions 😉

How is the autofocus on this lens with the new panasonic firmware update?

Hi There, I did not go for the new firmware yet, I am waiting until I am 100% sure all my lens will be okay to go. I will keep you informed once I have it done. Cheers bro

I don't have the 8-18 but I have tested the 7-14 2.8 from olympus and it works better than I ever thought and the 12-60 2.8 works perfectly fine no hurting at 2.8. It will work better with the new firmware

Hello @@niznoobsky6043 , I have updated my GH5s with the new firmware, to be honest I didn't see any improvements for my Leica-8-18mm, the lens I see a good improvements it's my Leica 50-200mm, the autofocus is much better, it's faster. But I think it's to soon to give you a precise feedback, but so far so good. Cheers Mate!

This cam and lens are both not stabilized and can be shaky as hell with this camera ? SO what gimbal are you using it on and does the gimbal really take out the shake or this was stabilized in post ?
@RicardoBorgo814 жыл бұрын
Hi Mate, the equipments I used for this video are listed on the video description, the gimbal is a Zhiyun Crane 2. You are completely right, the lens and camera have no IBIS but the gimbal did the stabilization job, I did not use post-stabilization process, only color grading. I have been using the GH5s with this gimbal for a couple of time and I will tell you that it's necessary some skills to have the footage with a good stabilization, but it's just a question of training, I use my arms and legs as part of the stabilization process, and it's working very good for me, I love my GH5s and I think it's a better option over the GH5, even with no IBIS. All the best for you mate, Cheers.

I forgot to say the I use the lens adjusted to 8mm-f/2.8 all the time, it's a very wide lens, it help a lot the stabilization of the footage!

@@RicardoBorgo81 > Hi, Yes always wider will show lesser shake. But why do you say the GH5s is much better. IN a few words what are the most obvious benefits you see ? I think only low light and i think you can do DCI 4K in 60fps. Also i think its slightly less cropped bec of utilizing the full sensor.

@@mgr5550 yes, these are the reasons I choose the GH5s and that's why the GH5s is better for me but most of people prefer the GH5, it's just a question of preference. Cheers mate
