Thanks for the review . I have been planning to buy this one for a very long time but though it is good it is not worth buying since except Radio China and BBC it was not receiving any other stations on shortvwave . Most of the countries have discontinued their short wave services and have switched to internet radio broadcasts for overseas listeners and to DAB and FM for local listenerd.

It really depends on location n interference noise at the place. You can check out other videos of Panasonic radio on this channel. With medium electrical interference noise this works as charm. This is one of the best performing radio I bought at the price. As per me it deserves 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Yes I agree i also bought an all band radio recently i.e XHDATA d-901. But I am also able to get sw stations like china radio international and bbc . But I was surprised when I could get to listen to Radio Ethiopia i.e all the way from Addis Ababa , Ethiopia Beaming to Bangalore. And coming to internet radio, yes we can listen to all world stations but listening through the radio is a different feeling to enjoy

@@allaboutradios He says one thing and you answer another. Today very few radio stations(channels) are available in SW. Among important stations in English only BBC and Radio China International are available. Voice of America, Voice of Germany, Radio Australia, Radio Moscow, have all stopped transmission.(however, available through internet app). For Asia VoA broadcasts only for Indonesia and in Indonesian language. So the interest for purchasing a well-known brand like Panasonic and Sony has faded away for SW listeners. As for BBC and China any cheap local set with SW can do ( example- Deltron ) or a cheap branded set like Philips Bahadur (DL 167). As for FM any third rated radio can sound well.

What is the point of choosing an odd hour for testing? BBC is not available for South Asia at this hour. Yet it is available in this radio because it is an exceedingly good radio for SW as it picks BBC at 4.30 PM IST on 31 metre meant for other countries of Asia. For South Asia BBC is available on 25 metre from 5.30 PM IST.

short wave was, and is cool. So was listening to big powerful stations AM stations from 1000 miles away late at night. but that was then. now there's not much left of either band
