Couple of ST 900 and I’m guessing recording formats are fairly similar I always thought the H a setting was progressive? But it seems from what I found in your explanation that the only progressive setting is the 50p. Have I got that wrong, because it does take slightly longer to edit and 50p. Thanks again for wonderful information

Alas, it's many many years since I owned this camcorder so I don't even recall what an "H" setting is, sorry.

i noticed that you had 4 hours battery time how did you get so long battery time?

I don't recall, unfortunately. Must have bought a larger size battery I suppose.
