thanks for sharing this. These vises are great quality, built to last. That quality is reflected in their price, but as my dad would say, "Buy cheap, buy twice."

You put the original jaws on backwards. They are meant to be a vise, and hold a piece of work. The way that you installed the original jaws, they would have to be pretty large!

He installed them in the orientation that is shown on most of PanaVise's product photos (including the box at 0:36)… The jaws are reversible, so there's not really a "backwards". If you need to hold objects at the upper limit of size, install them the way he shows in the video; if you need to hold very small objects, install them facing inwards; if you don't need to do either, go nuts and install one side inwards and the other outwards and watch your OCD friends go crazy :)
